Noida plans a double-decker elevated road

NOIDA: In a bid to reduce travel time between Delhi and Ghaziabad, the Noida Authority wants to build a double-decker elevated road from Sector 63 towards NH-24 and has sought an NOC (no objection certificate) from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

"The starting point of the double-decker elevated road will be at Chijarsi village in Sector 63. It will circle over NH-24 and provide exit and entry points from Delhi, Ghaziabad, Bulandsahar and Meerut," said KR Verma, in-charge of work circle 4.

Barapullah Road may be extended till airport, NH-8

Travelling from east Delhi to the airport and the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway in the west could be reduced to just a zip thorugh.

Impressed by the success of the elevated Barapullah Road over a drain, the Delhi government is studying the feasibility of extending the signal-free road between Sarai Kale Khan and INA up to the airport and the Delhi-Gurgaon Highway – a part of the National Highway 8 going upto Jaipur.

Elevated road will be built from UP Gate to Ghaziabad: VK Singh

Ghaziabad: Union minister VK Singh on Sunday said elevated road would be constructed from the UP Gate on the Uttar Pradesh-Delhi border to Meerut Mode (T-Point intersection) in Ghaziabad to ease traffic movement.

Singh, who represents Ghaziabad in Lok Sabha, said at a press conference here that the elevated road would be further extended up to Meerut.

He said Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Najeeb Jung had agreed to resolve the border area?jurisdictional disputes between the UP and Delhi authorities, and on widening of Pipeline Road.
