The 30-km long elevated Noida-Greater Noida metro extension is likely to be thrown open by March 2017, months ahead of its deadline, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation chief Mangu Singh said today.

Singh made the comments at an event to mark the installation of the first ‘U-girder’, horizontal segments on which metro tracks are laid on elevated sections, of this upcoming corridor.

Singh expressed hope that in view of the “fast pace” of construction, it “should be possible” to open this section for the public a few months before the schedule.

“Generally, the casting of the U girders takes at least six months. However, the same was achieved within a period of four months facilitating the installation work within such a short time,” DMRC chief spokesperson Anuj Dayal said.

The said extension, that will be an extension of two lines, namely Dwarka Sector 21-Noida City Centre and the upcoming Noida-Noida Sector 62 stretch, will comprise 21 stations, work for which begun earlier this year.

Noida-Greater Noida Metro to be ready by 2017

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and the Noida authority on Thursday said the civil work for the 30-km Noida-Greater Noida Metro link, which is under construction, will be ready by 2017, much ahead of its deadline. The DMRC had started work on this project in January 2015.

“The link will be ready by 2017 and civil work will be completed by Diwali 2016 because work on this project is fast-tracked. As per the deadline, this 30-km link is supposed to be ready by March 2018,” said Rama Raman chief executive officer (CEO) of the Noida authority and managing director (MD) of the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC).

The DMRC’s top officials of operations and the finance department explained how this project will be completed before the deadline.

The DMRC gave a detailed presentation on maintenance and operations of this project to the Noida and Greater Noida officials in its Noida office in Sector 29.

“We have also finalised that the DMRC will maintain and run this project for the next five years after it is completed. Because the DMRC has 15 years of experience in this field, it will offer commuters a seamless hassle-free metro ride,” Raman said.

On November 7, 2014, when the Noida authority formed its own metro rail company, it had announced that all new metro projects will be built and run by the NMRC itself.

“The NMRC owns this metro project. It will deal with departments like legal, administration, land, accounts, finance and strategy. The DMRC will only maintain and run it for five years. Later, the NMRC will take over once it gets some experience,” a DMRC official said.

The DMRC and NMRC officials also discussed ticketing, security and technology issues that need to be finalised. Raman said the link will have the same ticketing system as the Delhi Metro. Further, the UP government and the DMRC have decided to discuss security issues with the home ministry.

“The central industrial security force (CISF) is responsible for security of the Delhi Metro. We need approval from the Union home ministry on whether the security on this route can be under the UP police,” a DMRC official said.

Noida-Greater Noida metro line to be the longest

With as many as 21 stations and a depot, the upcoming Noida-Greater Noida Metro line is set to be the longest corridor of the region. Scheduled to be completed by March 2017, all its stations will have platform screen doors that will run on solar power.

The approximately 30 kilometre-long corridor will be an extension of two lines – Dwarka Sector 21-Noida City Centre line and the upcoming Noida-Noida Sector 62 stretch. The line will be standard gauge with all elevated stations, and a depot in Greater Noida that will boast of rain water harvesting facilities. Of the 21 stations on the line that will cover Noida, six will come under Greater Noida.

The depot, meanwhile, will have the capacity to station and maintain 130 cars.

Explaining the technicalities, an official said, “The corridor has two casting yards — one at the Noida Sector 149 Metro station and the other at the Depot station in Greater Noida. The corridor will move beneath the Dedicated Railway Freight Corridor and go above the Yamuna – Agra Flyover at 28 metres, which will be the highest point of the corridor.” This station will also be connected to the Greater Noida Expo Centre and the Special Economic Zone through travelators.

“Besides, a foot-over bridge will connect the Sector 52 Metro station of the Noida City Centre – Sector 62 corridor with the Sector 71 Metro station (the first station of the corridor) of the Noida – Greater Noida corridor. Soil investigations and a geo-tech survey has been completed. For initial soil investigations, 200 borelogs were dug along the corridor,” the official added.

Work on the corridor began earlier in May this year, On Sunday, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation MD, Mangu Singh, inspected the stretch. “Mr. Singh expressed his satisfaction with the pace of work. To protect the green cover, around 400 to 500 trees have been shifted and around 1,100 trees saved by shifting of piers,” said another official.

Metro link to G Noida under way

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and the Noida and Greater Noida Authorities signed an agreement for the construction of two Metro links —Noida City Centre to Sector 62 and Noida City Centre to Greater Noida — on Saturday. The two links are expected to be completed in 2017 at a cost of Rs 7,413 crore.

The 6.675-km link between City Centre Metro station in Sector 32 and sector 62 is estimated to cost Rs 1,880 crore while the 29.707-km line connecting City Centre Metro station with Greater Noida will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 5,533 crore.

On Saturday, the agreement was signed between SD Sharma, the director of business development, DRMC, and Rama Raman, chairperson and CEO of Noida and Greater Noida Authority. After the agreement was signed, two cheques — amounting to Rs 15 crore and Rs 14.5 crore — were handed out to the DMRC. Also present at the signing was Mangu Singh, Managing Director of DMRC.

Noida Authority officials said the two Metro routes had received the official approval from UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on September 30, 2014. “There was a delay on both ends with regard to the draft MoUs. But now that agreements have been signed, payments will be processed and construction work will begin,” an official said.

Authority officials said the two lines will be instrumental in boosting connectivity to Noida. The City Centre line will connect Sector 32 with Sector 62 and allow commuters to reach NH-24 without difficulty. It is expected to be completed with 36 months after construction begins. The proposed route is expected to have six elevated stations at Sectors 34, 52, 59, 61, 62 and Electronic City at NH-24.

Officials said currently, the most commonly used connection between between Noida and Greater Noida is the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. “However, public transportation on the route leaves much to be desired. The second Metro line — between Noida and Greater Noida — will boost connectivity greatly between the two,” the official said.

The Noida-Greater Noida Metro line will start from the Noida City Centre in Sector 32 and head to Greater Noida via stations in Sector 50, 51, 78, 101, 82, Dadri Road, 83, 85, 137, 142, 143, 144, 147, 153 and sector 149 in Noida.

It will enter Greater Noida at Knowledge Park II, go through Pari Chowk, Sector-Alpha 1 and Sector-Alpha 2 before terminating at the Depot station, proposed to come up near Knowledge Park IV in Greater Noida. This route will be commissioned by 2018.

Metro pact for 2 key corridors inked

NOIDA: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and the Noida and Greater Noida authorities signed an MoU on Saturday for two key Metro corridors in the twin cities. The two routes – Noida City Centre to Greater Noida and Noida City Centre to Sector 62 – will provide relief to thousand of commuters.

The MoU was signed between DMRC director of business development S D Sharma and Rama Raman, chairperson and CEO of Noida and Greater Noida Authorities in the presence of DMRC’s managing director, Mangu Singh, and other senior officials.

Laying the foundation for the commencement of the two proposed routes, two cheques worth Rs 29.45 crore were handed over to DMRC by Raman. The two routes are expected to cost a total of Rs 7,413 crores. While 6.675-km-long link from Noida City Centre to Sector 62 is estimated to cost Rs 1,880 crore, the 29.707-km-long Noida-Greater Noida corridor will cost Rs 5,533 crore.

“After Delhi, UP is where the largest Metro network is being put on track. As Noida and Greater Noida urbanize at an unprecedented pace, we want to improve the two cities’ transport systems,” said Raman.

Officials said that the cost of the Noida Metro line, as per the Detailed Project Report will be shared on an 80-20 basis between UP government and the Centre. The Noida-Greater Noida will be funded by the two authorities.

Noida Metro Rail Company (NMRC), which was recently granted approval by the state government, will be in charge of transportation, connectivity and movement of the 29.7-km track between Noida and Greater Noida.

The Greater Noida Metro track will have 22 stations, of which 13 will be at ground level, while seven stations will be elevated. Two stations at Knowledge Park-I and sector Delta-1 in Greater Noida are planned for future expansion.

“Since the stretch between Noida to Greater Noida is long, this route has been planned differently,” said Mangu Singh. “We plan to have fast trains along this corridor, which may not stop at all stations,” he said.

60-km Metro loop to connect Noida, Greater Noida

To ensure a smooth ride to commuters, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has planned to connect Noida and Greater Noida through a Metro link.

According to officials of the DMRC, the proposed ring like Metro link of about 60-km- would first connect Noida’s City Centre Metro station with Greater Noida’s

Bodaki via Noida Expressway link from one side, while another 30-km stretch of this link would be via Greater Noida West area.

The Metro link will have about 22 stations catering to sectors 50, 143, 144 and Greater Noida’s Pari Chowk among others.

The proposed Metro link will have two parts— Greater Noida’s Bodaki to Noida’s City Centre via Greater Noida West and Greater Noida’s Bodaki to Noida’s City Centre via Pari Chowk.

Officials of the corporation said that the 60-km loop would consist of two separate stretches, which would be built in next four-five years.

According to the DMRC and the Noida authority, work on Noida’s City Centre to Greater Noida’s Bodaki, a 30-km-long link, is likely to begin by January next year.

Detailed project report (DPR) of seven-km-long link, a part of 60 km ring’s second stretch- Noida’s City Center to GreaterNoida West (Noida Extension) crossing is being made.

The DMRC spokesperson said they would expedite the proposed Metro projects connecting Noida and Greater Noida with Delhi or other parts of National Capital Region (NCR).

“The Noida Metro Rail Company (NMRC) is about to be formed. Also, MOU with the DMRC is likely to be executed soon. Once the MOU is done, we will start work on the 30-km-long link next year,” said Rama Raman, chairman of the Noida and Greater Noida authorities.

The two authorities — Noida and Greater Noida — have allocated a budget of about Rs. 10,000 crore for four Metro projects to be completed in next four-five years.

The proposed Noida Metro Rail Corporation, which was recently granted approval by the UP government, will be responsible of the transportation, connectivity and movement of the 29.7km track linking Noida and Greater Noida. A team of officials has been formed by the chairman and CEO of Noida and Greater Noida authorities to speed-up formation of the company.

Once the draft MoU is approved by the government, Noida and Greater Noida authorities will formally ink on the dotted line. “We expect it to come through next week,” said the official. “Work on the track will commence as soon as the MoU is signed,” he added. According to estimates of DMRC and the two authorities, nearly 65,000 passengers are expected to use the link every day. The track is likely to be commissioned by 2017.

Two stations – Knowledge Park-I and Sector Delta-1 in Greater Noida – are planned for expansion in future. Starting from Noida City Centre in Sector 32, the proposed Metro corridor will head towards Greater Noida via stations in Noida’s sectors 50, 51, 78, 101, 81 on the Dadri Road, and sectors 83, 85, 137, 142, 143, 144, 147, 153 & 149 thereafter. It will enter Greater Noida through Knowledge Park-II and traverse Pari Chowk, Sector-Alpha 1 and 2, before terminating at Depot station, proposed near the recreational greens in Knowledge Park-IV in Greater Noida.

Entire Metro alignment is proposed to be elevated.

Fast tracking the Noida-Greater Noida Metro link to its next step, the two authorities held a meeting on Tuesday. Officials said that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Metro track could be signed any day now.

The proposed Noida Metro Rail Company (NMRC), which was recently granted approval from the Uttar Pradesh state government, will be in charge of the transportation, connectivity and movement of the 29.7-km track between Noida and Greater Noida. The construction will be undertaken by the Delhi Metro rail Corporation (DMRC), while the project will be funded by the two authorities.

A team of officials has been formed by the Chairman and CEO of Noida and Greater Noida to fast track the formation of the company. “This team will focus on and speed up the registration of the NMRC,” said an official.

UP clears Metro to Greater Noida

Metro connectivity in Noida received a big push on Tuesday with UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav clearing two major routes — a 29.7 km line from Noida City Centre (Sector 32) to Greater Noida, and another 6.7-km stretch from City Centre to Sector 62.

NOIDA: Metro connectivity in Noida received a big push on Tuesday with UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav clearing two major routes — a 29.7 km line from Noida City Centre (Sector 32) to Greater Noida, and another 6.7-km stretch from City Centre to Sector 62.

The City Centre-Sector 62 link isa Rs 1,816 crore project while the Noida-Greater Noida route is estimated to cost Rs 5,064 crore. Both are expected to be complete by 2017. At a cabinet meeting in Lucknow, Akhilesh authorized Noida Authority chairman and CEO Rama Raman to set up a special purpose vehicle called Noida Metro Rail Corporation and to enter into a memorandum of association and article of association with the company.

The UP government has also appointed DMRC as the turnkey consultant for putting both long-awaited projects on track.

The approval granted to Metro extension in Noida on Tuesday is the second in three months granted by UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav. In June, he had approved the 3.9 km, Rs 845-crore Botanical Garden-Kalindi Kunj Metro link.

Officials said the cost of the City Centre-Sector 62 line will be shared on an 80-20 basis between UP government and Centre. The Noida-Greater Noida line, on the other hand, will be funded by the two authorities.

The City Centre to Sector 62 line will touch NH-24, and will benefit people commuting within Noida and also going to Ghaziabad. It will provide connectivity to sectors 32, 34, 35, Hoshiarpur, sectors 51, 52, 71, Greater Noida Extension Marg, Sarfabad, sectors 60, 61, 62, 63 and NH-24.

The proposed route will have six elevated stations at sectors 34, 52, 59, 61, 62 and Electronic City (NH-24, Ghaziabad border). These new stations on the extended route will benefit commuters on both sides of NH-24 and also provide a solution to the traffic congestion faced along this path. This route is expected to be completed within 36 months once construction starts.

“As Noida and Greater Noida urbanize at an unprecedented pace, we want to improve transport systems between the two cities,” said Noida CEO Rama Raman. “The need is to put in place an effective and flexible community transport system. We will continue to push for approvals on all pending Metro route extensions like the 66 km route between Greater Noida and Indira Gandhi International airport and the 20.6 km Metro rail route between Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway, with the relevant authorities and soon put them on track, too,” Raman said.

Officials said that though planned much earlier, the change of guard in UP resulted in the Metro extension from City Centre station to Sector 62 being put on hold. Finally, in April 2013, the UP government gave an in-principle approval to the proposed route.

The Metro link between Noida and Greater Noida was first proposed in 2010 and received a go-ahead from the ministry of urban development in April 2014. The ministry had also cleared DMRC’s appointment as a consultant for the project on a turnkey basis.

“We have completed all formalities for the MoU to be signed with DMRC,” Raman said. “We will now schedule a meeting with DMRC and fix a date at the earliest for inking on the dotted line for both routes,” he added. “Construction will start as soon as we make the payment,” he added.

Noida Metro Projects Still Off-Track

The two lines were supposed to cover more areas within Noida and connect the city to Greater Noida.

A few years ago, when extensive Metro connectivity was touted by developers to sell flats in Noida and Greater Noida, buyers wouldn’t have guessed that the project would fail to get off the ground even today.

Two Metro line extensions – from Noida City Centre to Sector 62 and City Centre to Greater Noida – have been pending with the Uttar Pradesh Government for clearance for years. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation submitted the detailed project report (DPR) for the City Centre-Sector 62 line on March 31, 2012, and the final and modified DPR for the City Centre-Greater Noida line in May 2010.

“We have prepared and submitted the DPRs to the U.P. Government. The projects are awaiting their clearance,” said a DMRC official.

The Noida Authority, for its part, claimed that the reports were still being prepared. “We have three Metro projects in the pipeline with the DMRC and all three of them are in DPR or memorandum of understanding stages. It is a matter of six months,” said a Noida Authority source.

The two lines were supposed to cover more areas within Noida and connect the city to Greater Noida. As per the DPRs, the City Centre-Sector 62 line is 6.6 km long with six stations and the City Centre-Greater Noida line is 29.07 km long with 22 stations.

Once the U.P. Government gives its clearance to the projects, MoUs will be signed between DMRC and the Noida Authority. Confusion prevails as to why these projects have been delayed, with the two sides pointing fingers at each other.

While these plans may still be pending, the Noida Authority did recently sign an MoU with the DMRC for construction of a section from Kalindi Kunj to Botanical Garden station. The 3.96-km-long elevated corridor will make travel between Noida and South Delhi easier.

Noida Metro gets Centre’s nod, to come up by 2017

NOIDA: The long-awaited Metro rail link between Noida and Greater Noida has got a green signal from the urban development ministry. In a board meeting held on Wednesday, the ministry approved Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) appointment as a consultant for the project on a turnkey basis, sources said. The 30km link will be built at a cost of about Rs 5,000 crore.

Construction work on the new link will commence after a memorandum of understanding (is signed between the Noida Authority and the DMRC, sources said. Terms of the MoU have already been approved and submitted to the UP government in Lucknow for its approval.According to officials of the Noida Authority, the MoU is likely to be signed after the general elections while work could begin in the next two months.

Since former Delhi CM Sheila Dixit was opposed to the DMRC working outside the capital, the Authority had last year decided to form the Noida Metro Rail Company (NMRC) to construct this 30km line. Officials said that in view of the enormous passenger pressure on the Delhi-Noida route and a projected population of over 15 lakh in Noida and around 12 lakh in Greater Noida by 2031, a clean and efficient public transport facility, matching the transport infrastructure of Delhi, is urgently needed in the region.

A total 22 stations are proposed on the route – 13 on ground and seven elevated. Two stations at Knowledge Park-I and sector Delta-1 in Greater Noida are planned for future expansion. Starting from Noida City Centre in Sector 32, the proposed Metro corridor will head towards Greater Noida through stations in sectors 50, 51, 78, 101, 81, 83, 85, 137, 142, 143, 144, 147, 149 and 153. It enter Greater Noida through Knowledge Park-II and cross Pari Chowk and sectors Alpha-1 and 2 before terminating at a station proposed near Knowledge Park-IV in Greater Noida. The entire route will be an elevated track.

This project is expected to be completed by 2017, officials said. Noida had first approved the detailed project report of the link in 2010. But since then, the project has remained in limbo. Earlier, the Authority had planned to build this Metro link on public private partnership model, but now the two industrial authorities of Noida and Greater Noida will fund this project.

Noida and Greater Noida authorities are gearing up to start the construction work on the 30km-long elevated Metro line connecting Noida with Greater Noida from the middle of this year after the final approval of the DPR (detailed project report) came in.

Earlier estimated to cost around Rs 5,000 crore, the revised estimate of the cost of extension of the Metro line from City Centre in Sector 32, Noida, to Bodaki in Greater Noida is now Rs 6,000 crore, including land cost.

The extension of the Metro project is to be funded by both the authorities and will be built by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The proposed Metro line will have 22 stations, with 15 stations under Noida’s jurisdiction and seven under Greater Noida.

According to the DPR prepared by the DMRC, the construction work will be completed by 2016. The DMRC estimates that nearly 65,000 passengers would be using the Metro every day. The Noida-Greater Noida Metro track is estimated to costs around Rs 125-150 crore per km.

The Metro line will run along Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The line will extend from City Center in Sector 32 in Noida and terminate at Depot Station (Bodaki).

The authorities have also approved a proposal to extend the City Center Metro line by 6.67km to Sector 62, touching NH-24. In addition, the Noida-Greater authorities have decided to go ahead with civil work on the Metro link between Noida and Greater Noida West (Noida Extension).

The authorities of the twin cities will raise funds for the project through real estate development. For this, the authorities have proposed to increase FAR from existing 2.75 to 3.5 in certain areas. A 1km special corridor along Noida-Greater Noida Expressway is being developed for this purpose. The FAR would be sold in grouphousing projects dotting the expressway.

The existing Sector 32-based Noida City Centre Metro line will be extended up to Noida Extension via Sector 72. The 7km-long stretch will cost around Rs 1,400 crore of which Rs 1,100 crore would be shared by the Noida and Greater Noida authorities, depending on the territory falling under their jurisdiction.

At least two stations are proposed to be built on this line. The City Centre Metro station, which is proposed to link Sector 62, would branch out at Sector 71 to take the line till Noida Extension (Greater Noida West).

A 4km line between Kalindi Kunj and Botanical Garden in Noida will be constructed at a cost of Rs 845 crore. The Noida authority will pay Rs 492 crore for this. Another extension, nearly 6.7km long, will be made on the line from Sector 32 to Sector 62, at a cost of Rs 1,816 crore. The Noida authority has agreed to pay Rs 1,923 crore for this project.

Tarun Shienh, the CMD of Premia Projects Ltd, says, “The Noida-Greater Noida Metro project will be a boon for the twin cities and resolve the connectivity and traffic issues faced by residents of these cities.”

Rakesh Yadav, the MD of Antriksh Group, says: “The work on extension of the Metro line will bring a lot of cheer among buyers. A lot of uncertainty was looming over this region, but now, the confidence of investors and end users in this area is back and it will lift the prospects of real estate sector here.”

Ashwani Prakash, the executive director of Paramount Group, says: “The extension of the Metro line to Greater Noida will certainly improve connectivity and reduce the travel time to Delhi, which in turn will helps boost the realty market of the regions like Noida Expressway. In addition, it will also help in clearing any uncertainty or doubts in the minds of numerous homebuyers and investors who were counting upon this decision – this project has brought a lot of security into the investment made here.”

Anil Sharma, the CMD of Amrapali Group, says: “The importance of any residential area around Delhi depends on its connectivity to Delhi and the travel time taken to a particular location in the capital city. The extension of the Metro network will improve connectivity and reduce the travel time to Delhi, which will boost the market prospect of this region.”

R K Arora, the CMD of Supertech Limited, says: “The recent positive developments on the new alignment of the Metro network will encourage the entire real estate industry to continue with the good work in the region and collectively build dream homes for thousands of aspiring homebuyers.”

Noida board okays Metro link to Greater Noida

NOIDA: The Noida and Greater Noida authorities on Friday approved the much-awaited 30km extension of the Metro line to Greater Noida which would not only provide a fast link between the two townships but also bring these places closer to the national capital.

The decision was taken at the 178th joint board meeting of the authorities, convened after being postponed several times in the past six months. The line, to be funded the Noida authority and built by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, will have 22 stations connecting some of the busiest spots across Noida and Greater Noida.

The project is expected to cost around Rs 5,000crore. Sources said the proposal will be sent to the Uttar Pradesh government for approval on Monday. Sources expect work to start next month and the line to be ready in two-and-a-half years.

The authorities expect the Metro announcement to boost the realty sector in both townships. The detailed project report for the line has already been prepared by DMRC. The authorities had earlier been mulling a public private partnership model but decided on using the Noida Authority’s own funds for the project.

“The idea of the Noida-Greater Noida Metro link was first proposed in 2010. However, the project could not take off at the time due to several reasons. We have finally decided to revive the project and the board has also approved it. The DPR will just be updated now and we will forward it to the state,” said Sanjiv Saran, CEO,

Noida Authority.

The Authority CEO said, “As per the Master plan 2021, the population in Noida and Greater Noida is set to increase considerably. Besides, several new housing schemes are also in the pipeline. Considering that thousands of more people will inhabit the area in the near future, the Metro link will prove very useful. It will also serve the several residential, industrial and IT units along the expressway.”

The line will extend from City Center and culminate at Bodaki in Greater Noida. Some of the proposed stations on the route include Sector 51, Sector 50, Sector 78, Sector 101, Sector 81, Dadri Road, Sector 83, Sector 137, Sector 143, Sector 147, Sector 144, Sector 153, and Sector 149 in Noida and Knowledge Park 2, Pari Chowk, Alpha 1 Alpha 2, Delta, Knowledge Park 4 and Bodaki (depot stations) in Greater Noida. According to DMRC and the Authority’s estimates, nearly 65,000 passengers are expected to use the link every day.

The joint board meeting also gave its nod to the proposal to extend the City Center Metro line by 6.67km to Sector 62, touching NH 24. The DPR for this much-delayed project will be forwarded to the state government now.

Meanwhile, the Authority has decided to go ahead with civil work on the Metro link between Noida and Greater Noida west (Noida Extension) that it had proposed earlier last year. However, the DPR for the project will be prepared by DMRC only after a sizeable population moves into Noida Extension.

While the idea for a Metro link between Noida and Greater Noida was initially proposed in 2010 during the reign of the BSP, the project could not take off at the time. It got further delayed due to a change of regime and delay in the appointment of senior Authority officials.

Metro to boost Noida-Greater Noida’s realty development

The Noida and Greater Noida authorities have recently approved the much-awaited proposal for extension of the Metro line to Greater Noida. This project will accord fast connectivity between Noida and Greater Noida, and connect these places to Delhi and Gurgaon on this rapid access corridor.

The proposed Metro line is to be funded by both the authorities and will be built by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The proposed Metro line will have 22 stations connecting some of the busiest spots across Noida and Greater Noida. The detailed project report (DPR) for the line has been prepared by the DMRC. The project, estimated to cost around Rs 5,000 crore, will commence soon and is expected to be complete by 2016. The Noida authority will pitch in with the funds; earlier the authorities had mooted a public-private partnership model to raise funds.

The Metro line will run along the expressway, from City Center, Sector 32 and end at Bodaki, Greater Noida. The proposed stations on the route will be located at Sector 51, Sector 50, Sector 78, Sector 101, Sector 81, Dadri Road, Sector 83, Sector 137, Sector 143, Sector 147, Sector 144, Sector 153, Sector 149 , Noida and Knowledge Park 2, Pari Chowk, Alpha 1, Alpha 2, Delta, Knowledge Park 4 and Bodaki, Greater Noida.

Raising funds

The authority will increase the floor-are ratio (FAR) from existing 2.75 to 3.5 in certain areas to raise the funds through builders and developers. For this, the authority will develop 1km special corridors along Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The FAR would be sold for group-housing projects dotting the expressway.

Network of new Metro line

The 30km-long Metro line will directly connect Noida City Center in Sector 32 to Greater Noida. The Noida-Greater Noida Metro track via expressway is estimated to costs around Rs 150-200 crore per km. The Metro line being extended to several parts of Noida-Greater Noida is expected to cover more than 1.5 lakh homes in the next 1-2 years. Areas like Noida-Greater Noida expressway sectors, Greater Noida West, Noida’s Sectors 71, 72, 78, 62, etc, are still not covered in this scheme. This service would entail another 50km of Metro network. The existing Sector 32 Metro line will be extended up to Noida Extension via Sector 72.

The 7km-long stretch will cost around Rs 1,400 crore of which Rs 1,100 crore would be shared by the Noida and Greater Noida authorities, depending on the territory falling under their jurisdiction. A senior officer of the Noida authority said: “The project could not take off on the time due to several reasons. The Noida-Greater Noida authorities have finally decided to revive the project and have approved it.” The Noida authority also reviewed the detailed project reports (DPR) for the extension of existing DMRC services. A 3.9km line between Kalindi Kunj and Botanical Garden in Noida will be constructed at a cost of Rs 845 crore. The Noida authority will pay Rs 492 crore for this. Another extension will also be made on the line from Sector 32 to Sector 62 at a cost of Rs 1,816 crore. This will be 6.6km long.

The Noida authority has sent both these proposals to the UP government for approval. The sanction on Botanical Garden-Kalindi Kunj line is expected to come early. Once the proposal for the Botanical Garden-Kalindi Kunj line gets the nod, the Noida authority will sign a MoU with the DMRC and work is expected to commence within three months.

Rama Raman, the CEO of GNIDA, says: “We recognize the need for connectivity between the Noida and Greater Noida areas, but the project cost is too high for us to bear. So we have decided to increase the FAR of group-housing projects falling within 1km on either side of the rail tracks. The Noida-Greater Noida Metro project will be undertaken in such a manner that these twin cities do not face any traffic problems.”

Impact of new Metro line

The announcement of the extension of the Metro line to Greater Noida will boost the realty markets of Noida and Greater Noida. This will also increase the value of properties on the Noida Expressway and Noida Extension, where several reputed developers have their projects coming up. Some experts have pegged this appreciation at around 30-35%.

Rakesh Yadav, the MD of Antriksh Group, says: “If all goes well, the recent spate of Metro approvals will bring a lot of cheer among the buyers here. At the same time, it will also bring back the confidence of the investors and end users in this place and lift the uncertainty that was looming over this region not long ago.”

Anil Sharma, the CMD of Amrapali Group, says: “Just as the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway enhanced the prospects of real estate here, the Metro connectivity, too, has done exactly the same and enhanced the value of realty estate across segments here. Another factor that has worked for Noida, since the time it came up, was the confidence of the investors and buyers about the infrastructural developments here.”

Vikas Gupta, the joint MD of Earth Infrastructure, says: “The expansion of the existing Metro line will also help in clearing any uncertainty or doubts in the minds of numerous homebuyers and investors who were counting upon this decision, which to them means a secure investment. Also, the recent positive developments in Noida Extension will encourage the entire industry to continue with the good work in the region.”

Work on Gr Noida metro link soon

To improve public transport system between Noida and Greater Noida, both the authorities have chalked out a detailed plan which would provide metro connectivity between Noida and Greater Noida. The construction may start within six weeks. The decision was taken during the board meeting of Noida and Greater Noida authorities on Friday.

The CEOs of both the authorities decided to start the construction of metro rail between the two cities. Apart from that Noida Authority has also decided to extend the existing Metro link in Noida city. In the joint meeting, many developmental projects got their nod. The authorities also deliberated over the problems faced by the farmers of the area.

“We are re-assessing the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of Metro line between Noida and Greater Noida and the tenders will be floated after the State Government agrees to the proposal and clears it. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will carry out the project work while the cost will be borne by the twin authorities.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Noida Sanjeev Saran said that they will extend the Metro line from Noida City Centre to Sector 62. The Metro rail would start from Botanical Garden Metro station and would reach Greater Noida via Sector 32, 51, 83, 101, 143, 147 (Noida) and Knowledge Park, Pari Chowk (Greater Noida). The total length of the proposed extension is 29.7 kilometres and there will be 22 stations on this line. Whereas the existing Metro rail link will be extended upto six kms between Noida City Centre to Sector 62.

The CEO said that Noida Authority is in the process of augmenting the existing bus fleet of City Bus Service and for this authority would add 170 buses in its fold. For this Noida Authority would provide `40.5 crore to the State Transport Department. Out of 170 buses, 48 buses will be in the semi low-floor category while feeder buses will be made available at all metro stations of Noida city.

The CEO also announced to make one MW solar plant on the model adopted by Gujarat Government and the authority will provide five acres of land to the concerned department. Authority will also bear the cost of the entire project and the plant are planned to make the region more environment friendly.

ग्रेटर नोएडा वेस्ट से भी गुजरेगी मेट्रो

संवाददाता, ग्रेटर नोएडा : ग्रेटर नोएडा में मेट्रो की पहुंच दो तरफ से होगी। एक्सप्रेस-वे की तरफ से जाने के साथ मेट्रो ग्रेटर नोएडा वेस्ट होते हुए भी बोड़ाकी तक जाएगी। प्रथम चरण में नोएडा के सिटी सेंटर से होकर नोएडा-ग्रेटर नोएडा एक्सप्रेस-वे होते हुए परी चौक, बोड़ाकी रेलवे तक मेट्रो जाएगी। द्वितीय चरण में नोएडा सेक्टर-71 होते हुए ग्रेनो वेस्ट, 130 मीटर चौड़ी सड़क के बराबर बोड़ाकी तक मेट्रो जाएगी। दोनों फेस के मेट्रो का निर्माण एक साथ शुरू कर तीन वर्ष में पूरा करने का लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया गया है। यह घोषणा रविवार को ग्रेटर नोएडा प्राधिकरण के 23वें स्थापना दिवस पर सिटी पार्क में आयोजित समारोह के दौरान प्राधिकरण के मुख्य कार्यपालक अधिकारी (सीईओ) रमा रमण ने की।

उन्होंने कहा कि मेट्रो परियोजना शहर के विकास में प्राथमिकता से शामिल है। 11 जनवरी को हुई बोर्ड बैठक में निर्माण को लेकर फैसला हो गया है। दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल कारपोरेशन के साथ जल्द बैठक कर निर्माण की कार्ययोजना तैयार की जाएगी। मेट्रो के आने से ग्रेटर नोएडा में विकास को तेजी से गति मिलेगी। साथ ही अन्य शहरों के लोगों को ग्रेटर नोएडा से सीधे जुड़ने का मौका भी मिलेगा।

Noida-Greater Noida, City Centre to Sector 62 Metro projects get nod

Noida: Noida and Greater Noida Boards on Friday gave green signal to Noida to Greater Noida and city Centre to sector 62 Metro rail projects.

Though it was planned during Mayawati’s tenure as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the change of guard saw the project being put on hold as new officers and the state government wanted changes in the project before giving the approval.

Noida CEO Sanjiv Saran and Greater Noida CEO Rama Raman told mediamen after the meeting of the two Boards that the total length of the Metro project is 29.70 kilometer.

It will be run on 1433 gauge and will have 22 stations.

The maximum speed of train would be 95 kilometer per hour while scheduled speed is 35 kilometer per hour.

The total estimated cost at June 2009 prices is Rs.2781 crore without land and Rs.3017 crores with land.

Present-day cost of the project is expected to be around Rs.5500 crores, they said.

The areas to be covered under the project are Sectors 32, 51, 83, 101, 143, 147, Knowledge Park II, Pari Chowk, Sector Alpha, Delta and Knowledge Park IV.

As Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority as per NCRPB master plan approval has to construct 20 to 25 percent EWS and LIG houses in near future, the authority has planned to develop 10000 such houses.

ग्रेटर नोएडा और सेक्टर-62 तक मेट्रो को हरी झंडी

नोएडा : नोएडा और ग्रेटर नोएडा बोर्ड ने शुक्रवार को नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा और सिटी सेन्टर से सेक्टर 62 तक मेट्रो रेल परियोजना को हरी झंडी दे दी है। इसकी योजना मायावती के मुख्यमंत्री काल में ही बनी थी लेकिन राज्य में सत्ता परिवर्तन के कारण इसे रोक दिया गया था। नए अधिकारी और राज्य सरकार इसे स्वीकृति देने से पहले इसमें कुछ बदलाव करना चाहते थे।

नोएडा के सीआईओ राजीव सरण और ग्रेटर नोएडा के सीईओ राम रमण ने दोनों बोर्ड की बैठक के बाद संवाददाताओं से कहा कि नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा तक की इस मेट्रो परियोजना की कुल लंबाई 29.70 किलोमीटर है। इसमें 22 स्टेशनों का निर्माण किया जाएगा। जून 2009 के अनुसार भूमि खरीदने सहित पूरी परियोजना को पूरा करने में 3,017 करोड़ रुपए का खर्च आएगा जबकि भूमि के बगैर इसपर 2,781 करोड़ रुपए का खर्च होगा।

उन्होंने बताया कि वर्तमान में इस परियोजना की लागत 5,500 रुपए आने की संभावना है। इस परियोजना में मेट्रो सेक्टर 32, 51, 83, 101, 143, 147, नॉलेज पार्क 2, परी चौक, सेक्टर अल्फा, डेल्टा और नॉलेज पार्क 4 से होकर गुजरेगी। नोएडा सिटी सेन्टर से सेक्टर 62 तक मेट्रो का विस्तार कर 6.675 किलोमीटर लंबी लाइन बनायी जाएगी। छह स्टेशनों वाली इस लाइन पर करीब 1,807 करोड़ रुपए का खर्च आएगा। (एजेंसी)

ग्रेटर नोएडा में मेट्रो की डीपीआर तैयार हो गई है। मेट्रो नोएडा – ग्रेटर नोएडा एक्सप्रेस – वे से होते हुए फर्स्ट फेज में परी चौक तक आएगी। सीईओ रमा रमण ने न्यू हॉलैंड कंपनी में उद्यमियों के साथ मीटिंग में यह घोषणा की। मीटिंग मंे उद्यमियों ने सीईओ को कई समस्याएं गिनाईं। सीईओ रमा रमण ने उन्हें आश्वासन दिया कि हर समस्या को प्राथमिकता के आधार पर निस्तारित किया जाएगा। सीईओ ने ग्रेटर नोएडा में मेट्रो जल्द लाए जाने की मांग पर कहा कि इस पर अथॉरिटी काम कर रही है। मेट्रो की डीपीआर बनकर तैयार हो गई है। जैसे ही अथॉरिटी की अर्थिक स्थिति सुधर जाएगी , मेट्रो पर काम शुरू हो जाएगा।

एडीजी मेरठ मंडल जे . एल . त्रिपाठी ने उद्यमियों की सुरक्षा के मुद्दे पर कहा कि इसके लिए नोएडा , ग्रेटर नोएडा में सभी चौराहों पर सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगाए जाएंगे। ट्रैफिक सिग्नल पर पुलिस के जवान तैनात किए जाएंगे। उन्हांेने कहा कि सूरजपुर में कलेक्ट्रेट के पास बन रहा एसएसपी का दफ्तर एक साल में बनकर तैयार हो जाएगा।

मीटिंग में उद्यमियों ने यूपीएसआईडीसी के रीजनल मैनेजर मयंक श्रीवास्तव पर धमकाने और रिश्वत मांगने के आरोप लगाए। साथ ही एनपीसीएल पर उद्योगों को कम बिजली देने का आरोप लगाया। आरोप पर डीएम एम . के . एस . सुदंरम ने एनपीसीएल और यूपीएसआईडीसी के अधिकारियों को अपनी छवि सुधारने के निर्देश दिए।

पब्लिक ट्रांसपोर्ट के लिए बदनाम ग्रेटर नोएडा जल्द इस दाग को धो देगा। पब्लिक ट्रांसपोर्ट के मामले में अपना शहर एनसीआर के अन्य शहरों से आगे होगा। अथॉरिटी ने इसके लिए कवायद शुरू कर दी है। रैपिड ट्रांजिट सिस्टम प्रोजेक्ट से दिल्ली , गुड़गांव और फरीदाबाद ग्रेटर नोएडा से सीधे जुड़ जाएंगे। अथॉरिटी के सीईओ रमा रमण ने बताया कि डीएमआईसी प्रोजेक्ट को लेकर केंद्र सरकार के साथ ही अब यूपी गवर्नमेंट भी गंभीर है। इस प्रोजेक्ट को शुरू करने के लिए शासन स्तर पर कई बार मीटिंग और प्रेजेंटेशन हो चुके हैं। ग्रेटर नोएडा को इस प्रोजेक्ट का एक इंडस्ट्रियल डिवेलपमेंट रीजन के तौर पर चिह्नित किया गया है। इसी के तहत रैपिड ट्रांजिट सिस्टम बनाया जाएगा। इससे रेल लिंक के माध्यम से ग्रेटर नोएडा , दिल्ली , गुड़गांव और फरीदाबाद शहर आपस में जुड़ जाएंगे। जल्द ही इस प्रोजेक्ट पर काम शुरू हो जाएगा।

मेट्रो मिटाएगी दूरी

नोएडा के सेक्टर -32 से ग्रेटर नोएडा के परी चौक तक मेट्रो लाने के लिए अथॉरिटी ने प्रयास शुरू कर दिए हैं। सीईओ ने बताया कि मेट्रो का डीपीआर फाइनल हो गई है। अथॉरिटी की मंशा इसे पीपीपी मॉडल पर तैयार करने की थी। यदि कोई पार्टनर नहीं मिलता है तो इसे अथॉरिटी अपने खर्चे पर बनवाएगी। जल्द ही इस प्रोजेक्ट पर काम शुरू कर दिया जाएगा।

सीईओ ने बताया कि नोएडा और ग्रेटर नोएडा के बीच कनेक्टिविटी बढ़ाने के लिए नोएडा और ग्रेनो अथॉरिटी यूपीआरटीसी के साथ मिलकर एक कंपनी गठित कर रही हैं। कंपनी गठित होने के बाद बसें खरीदी जाएंगी। बसें नोएडा – ग्रेटर नोएडा के सभी सेक्टरांे में जाएंगी। बसों में जीपीएस लगा होगा और अथॉरिटी इसकी मॉनिटरिंग करेगी। उन्होंने बताया कि एक महीने में कंपनी का गठन कर लिया जाएगा।

नई दिल्ली से बड़ा बोडाकी रेलवे जंक्शन

सीईओ ने बताया कि डेडिकेटेड फ्रेट कॉरिडोर और दिल्ली – मुंबई इंडिस्ट्रयल कॉरिडोर की जरूरत के मुताबिक , बोडाकी रेलवे स्टेशन को अपग्रेड कर जंक्शन बनाया जाएगा। यह जंक्शन नई दिल्ली रेलवे स्टेशन से काफी बड़ा होगा। जंक्शन बनने के बाद तमाम ट्रेन यहां रुकंेगी। जंक्शन के निकट बहुत बड़े साइज का एक बस अड्डा भी होगा। यहां से विभिन्न शहरों के लिए बसें चलेंगी। इस प्रोजेक्ट पर काम अगले महीने तक शुरू होने की संभावना है।

Noida Extension Metro work put on fast track

GREATER NOIDA: Noida Authority has decided to fast track the Metro rail project to the area. While the project, which will connect Noida to Greater Noida via Noida Extension till Bodaki, has been in the pipeline for over a year, Authority CEO Rama Raman has decided to discard the old Detailed Project Report (DPR) and prepare a fresh one for the proposed 35km line.

This Metro service will be developed on a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model independent of DMRC projects proposed in the area. Once the new DPR is prepared, the Authority will initiate tender proceedings within a month. The previous DPR had slated the project’s cost around Rs 5,000 crore, but the current cost is estimated to be around Rs 7,500 crore, officials said. The Authority is yet to set a new timeframe for completion of the project.

“A Metro service between Noida and Greater Noida is essential because close to 1.5 lakh homes are expected to come up in the area. Now that housing projects have resumed, the Metro too needs to be taken up so that once people begin residing in Noida Extension they can avail its services,” Raman said.

The Authority has decided to go for a PPP model for the Metro project considering “high cost.” The model has already been approved by the state government.

There is a simultaneous plan to connect Noida and Greater Noida that is to be taken up by the Delhi Metro rail Corporation and the Noida Authority whereby the existing blue line will be extended from the sector 32 city centre to Greater Noida via sectors 51, 78, 101 in Noida and Dadri Road, Knowledge Park 2 and Pari Chowk in Greater Noida. However, the Greater Noida Authority claims that since this plan does “not connect all areas in the city, the new 35 km long route has been planned.”

Metro line between Noida, Greater Noida approved

NOIDA: Nearly four months after the government in Uttar Pradesh changed hands, the three development authorities — Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway — held their long-awaited board meetings on Monday. Metro connectivity remained the focus of Noida Authority at its 176th board meeting. Apart from approving the DPR for a Metro extension between Kalindi Kunj and Botanical Garden, Noida Authority also gave its nod to a 7km link to Noida Extension. An exclusive Metro route between Noida and Greater Noida also got the board’s clearance.

For the year 2012-13, the Authority allotted a total budget of Rs 7,021 crore for Noida. Of this, nearly 43% (Rs 3,000 crore) was allocated for development and infrastructure, besides Rs 500 crore for Metro extension.

“The long-pending DPR of the 3.9km Metro route between Kalindi Kunj and Botanical Garden will now be forwarded to the state government for approval. After that an MoU will be signed and then we will release the funds for its commencement,” said Sanjiv Saran, CEO, Noida Authority.

In an effort to provide Metro connectivity to lakhs of people who would reside in the ‘affordable housing hub’ Noida Extension in the next 2-3 years, the board approved a proposal to extend the City Center Metro line till the crossing of sectors 71 and 72. A DPR will soon be prepared for this line. While the stations will be marked soon, Noida Authority officials said at least two stations will fall in Noida Extension, near Gaur roundabout and Eco Village-III. “This 7km route will cost Rs 1,800 crore. Of this, Rs 1,100 crore will be shared between Noida and Greater Noida,” Saran said.

A special Metro line connecting the twin cities also got the green signal. “We are working on a PPP model and studying the feasibility of constructing this 35km line. The project is estimated to cost Rs 200 crore per km,” the CEO said.

The Authority fast-tracked proposals for the widening of two bridges over the Shahdara drain near Film City and before the Okhla Barrage. The board also approved the setting up of a centralized emergency helpline number that will cater to police, medical and fire emergencies. The number will be functional 24×7. “We are in the process of finalizing the blueprint of this project and should launch it on August 15,” Saran said.

The Authority plans to establish a Rs 100 crore, IIT-Roorkee approved, UASB technology driven sewage disposal system, and identify a sanitary land fill site in Sector 123. Construction of underpasses, flyovers and foot over bridges across the city is also on the cards. Special schemes will be launched for banks and nursing homes which have been displaced after the Supreme Court ruling barring all commercial activity from non-conforming areas.

Direct metro will boost Noida-Greater Noida’s realty profile

The development authorities of Noida and Greater Noida have provided immense relief to lakhs of homebuyers who booked their dream homes there with a new plan to have a direct Metro link between the twin cities.

The present announcement would make Noida-Greater Noida a hot destination for real estate development. The plan envisages direct Metro connectivity with Noida Extension, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and South Delhi.

Work has begun on this project which has a total length of 50km and is estimated to cost Rs 12,000 crore.

With this the much awaited 35km-long Metro line will directly connect Noida City Centre in Sector 32 with Greater Noida. This route will be built on a public-private partnership (PPP) model at a cost of around Rs 7,500 crore. The Noida-Greater Noida Metro track via the Expressway will be built independently of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) projects in the area. With more than 1.5 lakh houses estimated to come up in this area in the next one-two years, the Metro is expected to cover most of them when it is extended.

Several sectors in Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, the forthcoming Noida Extension , Noida’s Sectors 71, 72, 78, 62, etc, are yet to be covered. A proposal for a PPP project to link these areas has been sent for approval to the state government. The service is expected to cover around 50km.

To provide direct connectivity with the existing line at Sector 32, the Metro will be extended up to Noida Extension via Sector 72. The 7km-long stretch will cost around Rs 1,400 crore; the Noida and Greater Noida authorities will raise Rs 1,100 crore, depending on the territory falling under their jurisdiction. At least two stations are proposed to be built on this line. The City Centre Metro station, which is proposed to link Sector 62, would branch out at Sector 71 to take the line till Noida Extension.

Recently, the Noida authority also approved detailed project reports (DPR) for the extension of the existing DMRC services. A 3.9km line between Kalindi Kunj and Botanical Garden in Noida will be constructed at a cost of Rs 845 crore. The Noida Authority will pay Rs 492 crore. Another extension will also be made on the line from Sector 32 to Sector 62 at a cost of Rs 1,816 crore. This will be 6.6km long.

The authority has sent both these proposals to the Uttar Pradesh government for approval. The sanction for the Botanical Garden-Kalindi Kunj line is expected to come early.

Once the Botanical Garden-Kalindi Kunj line gets the nod from the state government , the Noida Authority would sign a MoU with the DMRC and work could start within three months. Out of Rs 845 crore that the project would cost, the Noida authority is expected to shell out Rs 500 crore.

Sanjeev Saran, the chief executive officer of the Noida Authority, says: “While we recognize the importance of connectivity between the Noida and Greater Noida areas , the project cost was forbidding; so, we are looking at the PPP model. Project tenders will be floated in the next four to six months and construction will begin by end of this year.”

Rama Raman, the chief executive officer of Greater Noida Industrial Authority (GNIDA) says: “The traffic between Noida and Greater Noida is increasing exponentially and this Metro link project between the twin cities will considerably ease that problem.”

Anil Sharma, the chairman and managing director of Amrapali Group, says: “The new Metro alignment plan will give those living in Noida Extension a reason to cheer. So far, the City Centre was the last Metro station on the Noida line. This line, which is expected to be in place in the next two-three years, will make Noida Extension an attractive destination for residential realty as it would provide a seamless travel to Delhi.”

Rakesh Yadav, the managing director of Antriksh Group, says: “Noida’s real estate got an immense boost once the Metro connectivity was in place. With the entry of the Metro, people have even started investing in places which were seen as far off a few years ago. Much like the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, the Metro has added teeth to real estate here. Another factor that has worked for Noida is the quality of infrastructural developments here.”

Ashwani Prakash, the executive director of Paramount Group, says: “The importance of any residential area around Delhi depends on its connectivity to Delhi and the travel time from that area to Delhi. The decision by Noida-Greater Noida authorities for the extension of the Metro network will improve connectivity and reduce the travel time to Delhi, which in turn will boost the market prospect of this region.”

R K Arora, the chairman and managing director of Supertech Limited, says: “Connectivity has become one of the prime factors for people while investing in any property . The new Metro links will benefit lakhs of people residing and commuting in the region. This will also help in clearing any uncertainty or doubts in the minds of numerous homebuyers and investors who were counting upon this decision, which to them means secure investment. Also, the positive developments in Noida Extension will boost the realty sector here.”

Anuj Chaudhary, the director of Panchsheel Buildtech, says: “This new Metro linkage will bring back the confidence of investors and end users in this region. It’s now a win-win situation for builders and customers. The work is expected to resume soon and it will attract more investments in the region with a credible promise of good returns.”

Authority sends list of projects to CM for approval

NOIDA: The Noida Authority on Thursday finalized a list of five

development projects that are linked directly to the daily needs of

the common man to be sent to the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh

Yadav for approval. This step was taken after the CM defined

infrastructure as his top priority in a communique to the district

officials.

Authority officials said that the projects that have found their way

into the ‘priority’ list are those that are important for an overall

development of issues that affect the day-to-day lives of people of

Noida, including connectivity of roads, public transport, sanitation

and horticulture.

Detailing the five projects, the Authority officials informed that, of

the projects incorporated in the list, the one that takes precedence

is the extension of the existing Metro rail to make more areas of the

district. “We have already received the DPR for an extension route

from sector 32A to sector 62 and the Kalindi Kunj-Botanical Garden

route is also in the final stages,” said an official.

“With the new government keen on ensuring better connectivity across

the district, we have proposed more extension routes including

connecting it to each sector and also taking the Metro along the Noida-

Greater Noida Expressway towards Greater Noida,” he added.

A new bridge over the Yamuna for better Noida-Delhi connectivity is

next on the list of projects. An additional four lanes to the existing

ones are required to make it effective. “A new bridge at the Okhla

Barrage near Kalindi Kunj would help in decongesting the traffic along

the road, which connects to New Delhi and Faridabad,” an official

said.

According to the list, other projects that Noida will soon boast of

include the Ganga Water Action Plan to bring clean water to the area

from the Dasna-Ghaziabad pipelines, an extensive greening plan with a

huge park in sector 91 and a strategy to decongest the NH-24 making it

into a signal-free route.

“The NH-24 link touches Noida, Ghaziabad and takes commuters to Delhi.

We have proposed that this stretch be widened without delay besides

constructing flyovers and underpasses along the highway to rid the

road of its traffic chaos,” said the Authority officer.

“We have finalized and completed the report after convening with our

planning and other department heads. On Friday, we will forward this

report to the CM’s office,” said an official. According to the

Authority, once they receive a formal nod from the CM, the projects

will be flagged off.

“The evaluation and feasibility will be worked out and the projects

will take off as soon as we receive the go-ahead,” said the official.

हरियाली के साथ मिलेगी मेट्रो की सौगात

नोएडा, संवाददाता : शहर का यातायात और परिवहन दुरुस्त करने के साथ हरियाली

बढ़ाना प्राधिकरण की प्राथमिकता है। शासन से शहर की पांच प्रमुख योजनाओं की

मांगी गई जानकारी में प्राधिकरण ने इन्हीं चीजों को शामिल करते हुए

बृहस्पतिवार को जवाब भेज दिया है। शासन को सौंपी गई प्राथमिकता सूची में

मेट्रो विस्तार को सबसे ऊपर रखते हुए कुल पांच परियोजनाओं को शामिल किया गया

है।

प्रदेश में नई सरकार के गठन के बाद मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव ने नोएडा-ग्रेटर

नोएडा प्राधिकरण से उनके क्षेत्र में आम जनता से जुड़ी पांच महत्वपूर्ण विकास

योजनाओं की सूची मांगी थी। ग्रेटर नोएडा प्राधिकरण ने बुधवार को अपनी

प्राथमिकता सूची शासन को भेज दी। प्राधिकरण ने मेट्रो विस्तार को इस सूची में

सबसे ऊपर रखा है। बृहस्पतिवार को नोएडा प्राधिकरण ने भी शासन को अपनी

प्राथमिकता सूची भेज दी है। नोएडा प्राधिकरण के मुख्य परियोजना अभियंता संतराम

सिंह ने बताया कि इस सूची में मेट्रो का विस्तार, कालिंदी कुंज के पुल को चौड़ा

करने की योजना, ग्रीन बेल्ट (हरित पट्टी) विकसित करना, राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग

(एनएच) संख्या-24 पर सिंग्नल फ्री इंटरसेक्शन और शत-प्रतिशत गंगाजल की आपूर्ति

को शामिल किया गया है। नोएडा प्राधिकरण के कार्यवाहक चेयरमैन व सीईओ अनिल

राजकुमार ने बताया कि शासन को भेजी गई सूची में शामिल परियोजनाओं पर प्राधिकरण

पहले से ही काम कर रहा है। इनके पूरा होने से लोगों को काफी राहत मिलेगी।

प्राथमिक सूची में शामिल परियोजनाएं

मेट्रो विस्तार : प्राधिकरण ने अपनी 173वीं बोर्ड बैठक में चार नए रूट पर

मेट्रो विस्तार को मंजूरी दी थी। ये रूट हैं सिटी सेंटर से एनएच-24, सेक्टर 71

चौराहे से सेक्टर 121 होते हुए बोड़ाकी, कालिंदी कुंज से बॉटनिकल गार्डन और

सेक्टर 94 व 124 के पास से सेक्टर-44 होते हुए सेक्टर-142 तक। इसके अलावा

सेक्टर- 32 से सेक्टर-142 व परिचौक होते हुए बोड़ाकी तक मेट्रो विस्तार पहले से

ही प्रस्तावित था। प्राधिकरण ने इन पांचों रूट पर मेट्रो विस्तार की समय सीमा

2016 तक निर्धारित की थी। प्राधिकरण ने इसके लिए दस हजार करोड़ रुपये से ज्यादा

का बजट पहले ही आरक्षित कर लिया है।

शत-प्रतिशत गंगाजल : नोएडा प्राधिकरण ऐसा पहला विकास प्राधिकरण है, जिसने वर्ष

2060 तक जलापूर्ति का मास्टर प्लान तैयार किया है। इसके तहत शहरवासियों को

शत-प्रतिशत गंगाजल मुहैया कराया जाना है। प्रथम चरण (वर्तमान) में प्राधिकरण

48 क्यूसेक गंगाजल, भूमिगत जल में मिलाकर सप्लाई कर रहा है। इस वक्त चल रहे

दूसरे चरण में 80 क्यूसेक गंगाजल लाने की योजना है। इसके बाद सौ करोड़ रुपये की

लागत से शुरू होने वाले तीसरे चरण में 37.50 क्यूसेक गंगाजल शहर में लाया

जाएगा। शहर में भूमिगत जल काफी कठोर है। पीना तो दूर इससे कपड़े और बर्तन आदि

धुलने में भी परेशानी होती है।

सिग्नल फ्री एनएच-24 : राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग पर जाम पिछले कई वर्षों से बड़ी

समस्या है। इससे नोएडा-गाजियाबाद के बीच सफर करने वालों को तो परेशानी होती ही

है, साथ ही मार्ग पर सीधे जा रहे वाहन चालकों को भी जाम का सामना करना पड़ता

है। नोएडा क्षेत्र में इस मार्ग पर तीन रेड लाइट हैं। इन रेड को बंद कर यहां

नोएडा-गाजियाबाद के बीच अंडरपास अथवा फ्लाई ओवर बनाना प्रस्तावित है। इसके लिए

कंसल्टेंट नियुक्त करने के लिए प्राधिकरण ने हाल ही में निविदा जारी की है।

कालिंदी कुंज पुल : नोएडा-दिल्ली के बीच ओखला बैराज पर बने कालिंदी कुंज पुल

को मौजूदा चार लेन (दोनों तरफ से) को बगल में नया पुल बनाकर कुल आठ लेन का

करना प्रस्तावित है। इस पर तीन सौ करोड़ रुपये खर्च होना प्रस्तावित है, जिसके

लिए डीपीआर तैयार की जा चुकी है। पुल संकरा होने की वजह से यहां आए दिन भीषण

जाम लगता है।

ग्रीन बेल्ट का विकास : प्राधिकरण ने मास्टर प्लान 2031 में, मास्टर प्लान

2021 के मुकाबले हरियाली का दायरा बढ़ाने का लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया है। इसके

लिए नए सेक्टरों में चौड़ी ग्रीन बेल्ट विकसित करने के साथ पुराने सेक्टरों की

ग्रीन बेल्ट को सुदृढ़ करते हुए हरियाली को बढ़ाना शामिल है। इसके तहत

प्राधिकरण ने सेक्टर 91 में 20 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से प्रस्तावित लेजर पार्क

को भी शामिल किया है।

DMRC approves extension of Noida & Greater Noida metro line

Noida and Greater Noida are to get a new lifeline, as tracks are clear for the Metro line here.The authorities concerned have approved a major detailed extension of the Metro route connecting almost all of Noida and Greater Noida at a cost of Rs 10,000 crore, covering a total of 86km. The DMRC ( Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) has given a go-ahead to this project and it is likely to be completed by 2015.

Besides extending the existing City Centre Metro route connecting Kalindi Kunj and Botanical Garden, a new line from the City Centre station connecting Sector 32 to Sector 62 and touching NH-24 , was also approved. This new 6km route will be via Sector 71 crossing and will provide connectivity to Sectors 32, 34, 35, Hoshiarpur, Sectors 51, 52, 71, Greater Noida Extension Marg, Sarfabad, Sectors 60, 61, 62, 63 and NH-24 .

A new loop from Sector 71 via Sector 121 will then join the Greater Noida route between the City Centre and Bodaki railway station in Greater Noida. This route will be from the City Centre along the Greater Noida Expressway , touching Knowledge Park 4 via Pari Chowk and will finally end at Bodaki. The new loop has been added mainly to connect Noida Extension, which is near Sector 121, with Noida as well as with Greater Noida.

If the project runs on schedule, there will soon be a direct Metro connectivity between Noida and areas in South Delhi like Kalkaji, Malviya Nagar, Nehru Place, Green Park and Vasant Kunj. At present, commuters have to take the Noida-Dwarka route and get down at Rajiv Chowk station to change lines. Experts believe it will boost real estate market in Noida, Greater Noida and the neighbouring areas.

S K Diwedi, the chief executive officer of Noida, says: “The proposed line will be a part of the DMRC’s larger plan to link Jahangirpuri and Kalindi Kunj. Noida Authority and DMRC officials are reviewing the plans twice in a month.”

The new link will also be a part of DMRC’s Phase III expansion plan, which will now cover 105km, instead of the earlier proposed 70km, to enter areas like Faridabad and Noida. In addition, Noida will also be floating the tender for the extension of the Metro line from Noida City Centre to Bodaki in Greater Noida.

Rama Raman, the chairman and chief executive officer of Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), says: “Once the project is complete, it will be easy to move from Delhi to Noida-Greater Noida and Ghaziabad, as the authority has designed this Metro connectivity project.

The authority is approaching financial institutions for viability gap funds and tax exemptions to meet the requirement. According to the alignment, 22 Metro stations have been proposed in the 28kmlong Noida and Greater Noida Metro link, which costs around 5,500 crore. Nearly 65,000 passengers are expected to commute daily on this line. This Metro link will connect with Ghaziabad in the second phase of execution.”

मेट्रो प्रोजेक्ट पर बन रही है बात

ग्रेटर नोएडा। हाईटेक शहर तक मेट्रो पहुंचाने के लिए धीरे-धीरे बात बन रही है। प्रदेश सरकार ने सकारात्मक रुख अपनाया है और प्राधिकरण को निर्देश दिए हैं कि शीघ्र ही नोएडा, ग्रेटर नोएडा और गाजियाबाद को आपस में मेट्रो प्रोजेक्ट से जोड़ने का काम किया जाए। भारी-भरकम खर्चा के चलते ग्रेटर नोएडा प्राधिकरण हिम्मत नहीं जुटा पा रहा था, लेकिन नोएडा के हिस्से में 80 फीसदी और ग्रेटर नोएडा के 20 फीसदी भुगतान करने की बात सामने आई तो अधिकारी तैयार हो गए। भुगतान भी किस्तों में किया जाना है। इस सिलसिले में प्राधिकरण अधिकारी प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री से मुलाकात का प्रयास कर रहे हैं। दूसरा विकल्प यह भी है कि किसी निजी कंपनी से मेट्रो प्रोजेक्ट पूरा कराया जाए और खर्च के बदले में उसे जमीन दे दी जाए। इस प्रक्रिया में अधिकारी दिक्कत समझ रहे हैं।

ग्रेटर नोएडा भले हाईटेक शहर कहा जाता है, लेकिन मेट्रो नहीं आने से यह विकास में पीछे खिसक रहा है। नोएडा और गाजियाबाद में मेट्रो चालू है और इसके लगातार विस्तार के प्रयास चल रहे हैं, जबकि ग्रेटर नोएडा में मेट्रो के लिए डीएमआरसी प्रोजेक्ट रिपोर्ट तैयार कर चुकी है। यहां तक कि टेंडर का प्रारूप भी तैयार है। नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा मेट्रो आने में करीब छह हजार करोड़ रुपये खर्च का अनुमान लगाया जा रहा है। पहले चरण मेें अगर परी चौक तक ही मैट्रो पहुंच जाए और बाद में बोड़ाकी तक पहुंचाई तो भी कोई दिक्कत नहीं है।

– नोएडा से बोड़ाकी तक लंबाई करीब 30 किलोमीटर

– डीपीआर में 5798 करोड़ रुपये खर्च आंका गया

ग्रेनो तक मेट्रो पहुंचने की उम्मीद फिर जगी

ग्रेटर नोएडा, संवाददाता : मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव द्वारा गाजियाबाद में मेट्रो रेल परियोजना के दूसरे चरण को शीघ्र पूरा करने का निर्देश दिए जाने पर ग्रेटर नोएडा मेट्रो रेल परियोजना पर जल्द काम शुरू होने की उम्मीद जगी है। पैसे के अभाव में परियोजना की फाइल को एक साल से ठंडे बस्ते में डाल दिया गया है। मेट्रो परियोजना शुरू करने की सारी औपचारिकताएं ग्रेटर नोएडा प्राधिकरण ने पूरी कर ली थी। परियोजना का निर्माण कार्य शुरू होने वाला था, उससे पहले जमीन अधिग्रहण को लेकर किसानों ने आंदोलन शुरू कर दिया। आंदोलन के कारण प्राधिकरण अधिकारियों ने परियोजना की तरफ ध्यान नहीं दिया। अगर समय से निर्माण कार्य शुरू हुआ होता तो अब तक आधे से ज्यादा कार्य पूरा हो चुका होता।

नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा मेट्रो रेल परियोजना को लाने के लिए प्राधिकरण ने दिसंबर 2010 से काम शुरू कर दिया था। इसे 2013 तक पूरा करने का लक्ष्य रखा गया था। मेट्रो रूट का खाका व डीपीआर भी तैयार कर लिया गया था। नोएडा सिटी सेंटर से होकर सेक्टर 49 होते हुए नोएडा व ग्रेटर नोएडा एक्सप्रेस-वे होकर परी चौक, विप्रो कंपनी के बराबर से बोड़ाकी रेलवे स्टेशन तक मेट्रो ले जाने की योजना तैयार की गई थी। नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा के बीच 22 स्टेशन बनाने की योजना तैयार हुई थी, जिसमें 19 स्टेशन नोएडा में आते हैं। डीपीआर तैयार करने का जिम्मा दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल कारपोरेशन को सौंपा गया था। परियोजना पर कुल पांच हजार करोड़ रुपये की लागत आने का अनुमान था। पहले प्राधिकरण ने परियोजना को पब्लिक प्राइवेट पार्टनरशिप (पीपीपी) मॉडल पर बनाने का निर्णय लिया। बाद में प्राधिकरण ने दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल कारपोरेशन का निर्माण का जिम्मा सौंपने का निर्णय लिया। परियोजना पर निर्माण कार्य शुरू करने की सारी औपचारिकताएं मार्च 2011 में पूरी हो गई थी। अप्रैल 2011 से निर्माण कार्य शुरू होना था। नोएडा व ग्रेटर नोएडा प्राधिकरण ने मिलकर निर्माण का खर्च उठाने का जिम्मा उठा लिया था। परियोजना पर निर्माण कार्य शुरू होने से पहले जमीन अधिग्रहण को लेकर किसानों का आंदोलन शुरू हो गया। प्राधिकरण अधिकारियों का ध्यान आंदोलन की तरफ चला गया। इसलिए मेट्रो रेल परियोजना को ठंडे बस्ते में डाल दिया। मेट्रो रेल परियोजना को लेकर शहरों के लोगों को उम्मीद टिकी थी। ग्रेटर नोएडा को नोएडा व दिल्ली से जोड़ने के लिए परिवहन की बेहतर सुविधा न होने के कारण शहर की आबादी नहीं बढ़ पाई। मास्टर प्लान के अनुसार 2011 तक शहर की आबादी सात लाख होनी चाहिए थी। लेकिन अब तक सिर्फ तीन लाख तक आबादी पहुंच पाई है। प्रदेश में सत्ता परिवर्तन होने के बाद मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव द्वारा मेट्रो रेल परियोजना को लेकर गंभीरता दिखाए जाने पर एक बार फिर लोगों की उम्मीद जगी है कि ग्रेटर नोएडा में जल्द ही मेट्रो पर काम शुरू हो जाएगा।

धन की कमी से अटकी परियोजनाएं

ग्रेटर नोएडा, संवाददाता : जिले में विधानसभा चुनाव समाप्त होने के बाद नौ मार्च को आचार संहिता भी खत्म हो जाएगी। ऐसे में प्राधिकरण के सामने सबसे बड़ी समस्या महत्वपूर्ण परियोजनाओं को शुरू कराने की है। प्राधिकरण को शहर का मास्टर प्लान 2021 एनसीआर बोर्ड से पास कराना है। इसके साथ ही धन की कमी भी बड़ी समस्या है।

प्राधिकरण का पूरा ध्यान अब मास्टर प्लान को एनसीआर प्लानिंग बोर्ड से मंजूर कराने पर है। इसके बाद ही प्राधिकरण परियोजनाओं को शुरू कराने की तरफ ध्यान दे पाएगा। इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट में जमीन अधिग्रहण को लेकर अभी 34 गांवों का मामला अटका हुआ है। नोएडा एक्सटेंशन की तर्ज पर अगर इन गांवों को भी प्राधिकरण को अतिरिक्त मुआवजा व दस फीसदी भूखंड देना पड़ा तो प्राधिकरण की आर्थिक स्थिति पूरी तरह डांवाडोल हो जाएगी। प्राधिकरण अब तक सभी 39 गांवों के किसानों को अतिरिक्त मुआवजा व दस फीसदी विकसित भूखंड नहीं दे पाया है। इन हालत में परियोजनाओं को लेकर प्राधिकरण अधिकारियों की चिंता बढ़ गई है। प्राधिकरण इन परियोजनाओं को कैसे पूरा करेगा, यह एक महत्वपूर्ण सवाल हो गया है? कई परियोजनाओं पर शहर के विकास का भविष्य निर्भर है। अगर ये परियोजनाएं परवान चढ़ती तो लोगों के शहर में बसने का सपना पूरा होता। प्राधिकरण की आर्थिक हालत को देखते हुए नहीं लगता कि परियोजनाएं जल्द परवान चढ़ पाएंगी।

नाइट सफारी परियोजना

पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए यमुना एक्सप्रेस-वे के किनारे मुरशदपुर गांव के पास प्राधिकरण ने 260 एकड़ में नाइट सफारी के लिए जमीन चिन्हित की थी। वर्ष 2005 में प्राधिकरण ने यह योजना तैयार की थी। यह एशिया का दूसरा व देश का पहला नाइट सफारी होगा। इस पर एक हजार करोड़ रुपये का खर्च प्रस्तावित है। परियोजना ने सभी बाधाओं को पार कर लिया है। सिर्फ निर्माण कार्य शुरू होने की देरी है। आर्थिक कमी से जूझ रहा प्राधिकरण इस योजना पर काम शुरू नहीं करा पा रहा है।

मेट्रो रेल परियोजना

नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा तक मेट्रो को लेने के लिए पिछले पांच साल से माथापच्ची चल रही है। नोएडा के सिटी सेंटर से नोएडा एक्सप्रेस-वे होकर मेट्रो को ग्रेटर नोएडा तक लाने की योजना तैयार हो चुकी है। परियोजना पर पांच हजार करोड़ रुपये खर्च का प्रस्तावित है। प्राधिकरण पांच हजार करोड़ रुपये की व्यवस्था कहां से करेगा, यह एक सवाल है? मेट्रो को नोएडा के सेक्टर 72 से नोएडा एक्सटेंशन होते हुए बोड़ाकी स्टेशन तक ले जाने का प्रस्ताव है।

बोड़ाकी स्टेशन का विस्तार

नोएडा व ग्रेटर नोएडा अब तक रेलवे रूट से नहीं जुड़ पाया है। इसके लिए बोड़ाकी स्टेशन का विस्तार करने की योजना चल रही है। योजना पर करीब 16 सौ करोड़ रुपये खर्च होने हैं।

दादरी रेलवे ओवरब्रिज

दादरी क्षेत्र को ग्रेटर नोएडा फेस-दो के रूप में विकसित किया जा रहा है। विकास में सबसे बड़ा रोड़ा दादरी रेलवे ओवरब्रिज है। इसके निर्माण की योजना चार साल पूर्व तैयार कर ली गई थी। इस पर करीब 60 करोड़ रुपये खर्च होने हैं। ऐसे में ओवरब्रिज का निर्माण भी अधर में लटक सकता है।

अपर गंगा कैनाल एक्सप्रेस-वे

ग्रेटर नोएडा को सीधे देहरादून तक जोड़ने के लिए अपर गंगा कैनाल एक्सप्रेस-वे प्रस्तावित है। बोड़ाकी के पास 105 मीटर रोड से एक्सप्रेस-वे को जोड़ा जाना प्रस्तावित है। ऐसे में यह योजना भी प्रभावित हो सकती है।

गांव के विकास कार्यो पर असर

ग्रेटर नोएडा प्राधिकरण गांवों का शहर की तर्ज पर विकास कार्य करा रहा है। वर्ष 2011-12 में गांव के विकास पर ढाई सौ करोड़ रुपये का खर्च प्रस्तावित है। ऐसे में आर्थिक स्थिति खराब होने पर गांवों के विकास पर भी असर पड़ेगा।

अधूरा रहा मेट्रो के सफर का सपना

ग्रेटर नोएडा, संवाददाता : ग्रेटर नोएडा में एयरपोर्ट व नाइट सफारी से लेकर बोड़ाकी स्टेशन तक विकास की अनेक महत्वाकांक्षी योजनाएं फाइलों में ही फंसकर रह गई हैं। इसी तरह मेट्रो रेल परियोजना की तैयारी पिछले 12 वर्षो से चल रही है, लेकिन धरातल पर कुछ नहीं हुआ। मेट्रो रेल की सवारी करने के लिए ग्रेटर नोएडा के लोगों का इंतजार बढ़ता ही जा रहा है। स्थानीय लोगों का मेट्रो में सफर का सपना कब साकार होगा, इसका जवाब किसी के पास नहीं है। प्राधिकरण भी अपने पास पैसे की कमी का बहाना बनाकर कदम वापस खींच रहा है। जनप्रतिनिधियों ने भी शहर में मेट्रो लाने के लिए अपने स्तर से प्रयास नहीं किए। नतीजतन परियोजना का काम अब तक शुरू नहीं हो पाया है। लोगों का कहना है कि जनहित की योजनाओं में देरी नहीं होनी चाहिए। प्राधिकरण और सरकार देरी करे तो जनप्रतिनिधियों का दायित्व बनता है कि वे सरकार और प्राधिकरण को उसके जिम्मेदारियों का एहसास कराकर जनहित की योजनाओं को शुरू कराएं, पर अफसोस की बात है कि ऐसा नहीं हो सका। जनता विधानसभा चुनाव में ऐसे प्रत्याशी को ही अपना मत देना चाहती है, जो लोगों से जुड़े मुद्दों को प्रमुखता से उठाकर उन्हें हल कराए।

ग्रेटर नोएडा प्राधिकरण अपने मास्टर प्लान में शहर की आबादी एक लाख पहुंचने के बाद यहां मेट्रो रेल परियोजना लाने की कवायद का लक्ष्य रखा था। वर्ष 2000 में परियोजना लाए जाने पर काम शुरू हुआ। बारह वर्ष का लंबा समय बीत गया है। शहर की आबादी भी बढ़कर दो लाख को पार कर गई है। नोएडा एक्सटेंशन और ओमीक्रान, जू, म्यू आदि सेक्टरों में लोगों ने रहना शुरू कर दिया तो अगले दो-तीन वर्ष में आबादी पांच लाख पार कर जाएगी। अनेक बार शहर में मेट्रो लाए जाने की घोषणाएं हुई और बैठकों का दौर चला, लेकिन योजना फाइलों से बाहर नहीं निकल पा रही है।

किस मार्ग पर चलनी है मेट्रो

नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा तक मेट्रो को लाने के लिए प्राधिकरण ने दो रास्ते चुने हैं। प्रथम चरण में नोएडा हाईवे से परी चौक तक मेट्रो आएगी। दूसरा मार्ग नोएडा के सेक्टर 32 व 72 से होते हुए नोएडा एक्सटेंशन एवं 130 मीटर चौड़ी सड़क साथ-साथ सैनी, खैरपुर गुर्जर, खोदना खुर्द, तिलपता व सेक्टर ईटा, जीटा होते हुए परी चौक तक पहुंचेगी।

क्या है मौजूदा स्थिति

मेट्रो लाने के लिए कई बार बैठकों का दौर हो चुका है। एक वर्ष पहले विस्तृत प्रोजेक्ट रिपोर्ट तैयार करने की जिम्मेदारी दिल्ली मेट्रो रेलवे कारपोरेशन (डीएमआरसी) को सौंपी गई थी। डीएमआरसी ने अब तक रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत नहीं की है। हाईकोर्ट के आदेश पर किसानों को 64.7 प्रतिशत अतिरिक्त मुआवजा देने की वजह से प्राधिकरण की आर्थिक स्थिति अब खस्ताहालत में है। प्राधिकरण ने आर्थिक स्थिति मजबूत होने तक फिलहाल प्रस्ताव को ठंडे बस्ते में डाल दिया है।

मेट्रो आने से दूसरे शहरों में जाना हो जाता आसान

ईशान इंस्टीटयूट के चेयरमैन डीके गर्ग का कहना है कि ग्रेटर नोएडा में मेट्रो रेल न आने की वजह से लोगों को दिक्कत होती है। यहां तक मेट्रो आ जाती तो ग्रेटर नोएडा दूसरे शहरों से सीधे जुड़ जाता। लोगों को भी आवागमन में आसानी होगी। ग्रेटर नोएडा में करीब 70 हजार छात्र रहते हैं। छात्रों को नोएडा व दिल्ली आने-जाने के लिए बसों में सफर तय करना पड़ता है। इससे आवागमन में अधिक समय लगता है।

मेट्रो आने से बढ़ेगी शहर की आबादी

नवीन अस्पताल के डॉ. विनीत का कहना है कि ग्रेटर नोएडा में मकान खूब बन गए हैं, लेकिन लोग कम संख्या में रहते हैं। इसका मुख्य कारण यहां परिवहन व आवागमन के साधनों का अभाव है। प्राधिकरण यदि शहर तक मेट्रो ले आएगा तो निश्चित रूप से यहां लोग रहना शुरू कर देंगे।

मेट्रो और एक्सप्रेस-वे प्रॉजेक्ट होंगे शुरू

हाई कोर्ट के फैसले के बाद अब ग्रेटर नोएडा के विकास को फिर से स्पीड मिलने की उम्मीद जताई जा रही है। इनमें सबसे महत्वपूर्ण प्रॉजेक्ट मेट्रो और 130 मीटर एक्सप्रेस-वे हैं। दोनों प्रॉजेक्टों पर फिर से काम किया जाएगा। ग्रेटर नोएडा अथॉरिटी के सीईओ रमा रमण ने इस संबंध में कहा है कि दोनों प्रोजेक्ट पर अब काम किया जाएगा।

करीब 5 महीने से नोएडा एक्सटेंशन एरिया डिस्टर्ब है। अधिग्रहण रद्द करने जैसे आदेशों के बाद एक्सटेंशन एरिया में निर्माण कार्य बंद कर दिए गए थे। इसी के साथ अथॉरिटी ने मेट्रो और 130 मीटर रोड जैसे महत्वपूर्ण प्रॉजेक्टों को ठंडे बस्ते में डाल दिया था। मेट्रो को लेकर तब से लेकर अब तक कोई मीटिंग नहीं हुई है। ऐसा तब किया गया जबकि मई माह में मेट्रो पर काम शुरू करने की योजना थी। साथ ही नोएडा एक्सटेंशन एरिया से भी मेट्रो लाने के लिए बोर्ड ने प्रस्ताव पास कर दिया था, लेकिन अधिग्रहण रद्द करने के कोर्ट के आदेशों के बाद सभी प्रॉजेक्ट्स जहां के तहां थम गए।

अब इन प्रॉजेक्टों को फिर से पटरी पर लाया जाएगा। ग्रेटर नोएडा अथॉरिटी के सीईओ रमा रमण का कहना है कि मेट्रो और 130 मीटर एक्सप्रेस-वे पर फिर से काम शुरू किया जाएगा। इसके अलावा ग्रेटर नोएडा से पुरकाजी देहरादून के लिए बनाए जा रहे 105 मीटर रोड, दादरी आरओबी, सीवरेज ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट, गांवों के विकास कार्य, नोएडा एक्सटेंशन में विकास कार्य भी फिर से चालू किए जाएंगे।

मेट्रो प्रोजेक्ट की स्पीड बढ़ी

नोएडा अथॉरिटी ने साफ कर दिया है कि उसका फोकस एनएच-24 से पैसेंजरों को फरीदाबाद और गुड़गांव जाने वाले मेट्रो ट्रैक को लिंक करने का है। लिहाजा सेक्टर-62 से सिटी सेंटर तक और नैशनल बॉटैनिकल गार्डन से कालिंदी कुंज तक लिंक करने वाले टै्रक की तस्वीर तैयार होने लगी है। अथॉरिटी ने इन दोनों प्रोजेक्टों के लिए डीपीआर फाइनल कर बजट को लेकर हामी भर दी है। दिवाली के आसपास अथॉरिटी और डीएमआरसी के बीच एमओयू साइन हो सकता है। डीएमआरसी ने फेज तीन के प्रोजेक्ट में जनकपुरी से कालिंदी कुंज तक प्रस्तावित मेट्रो टै्रक को नैशनल बॉटैनिकल गार्डन तक लाने के लिए यमुना पर प्रस्तावित नए मेट्रो ब्रिज का टेंडर जारी कर दिया है। यह टेंडर 24 अक्टूबर को खोला जाएगा। डीएमआरसी के प्लान के अनुसार यमुना पर नया ब्रिज ओखला बैराज से 85 मीटर दूर प्रस्तावित है।

नोएडा अथॉरिटी के चेयरमैन बलविंदर कुमार ने बताया कि अथॉरिटी मेट्रो के मौजूदा प्लान में नैशनल बॉटैनिकल गार्डन से कालिंदी कुंज तक लिंक करने वाले प्रोजेक्ट और सिटी सेंटर से सेक्टर-62 में एनएच-24 को जोड़ने वाले रूट को प्राथमिकता देगी। नैशनल बॉटैनिकल गार्डन से कालिंदी कुंज तक लिंक करने वाले रूट की प्राइमरी रिपोर्ट में 3.76 किलोमीटर लंबे टै्रक के निर्माण पर करीब 786 करोड़ की लागत का अनुमान लगाया गया है। इसकी डीपीआर के लिए अथॉरिटी ने 33 लाख रुपये दे दिए हैं। डीएमआरसी के अधिकारियों ने अथॉरिटी से जितनी भी सूचनाएं मांगी थीं वे सभी उपलब्ध करा दी गई हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि संभवत अगले कुछ दिनों में बॉटैनिकल गार्डन से कालिंदी कुंज तक के मेट्रो टै्रक का टेंडर भी जारी कर दिया जाए। फेज तीन के तहत अथॉरिटी ने डीएमआरसी से सिटी सेंटर स्टेशन से सेक्टर-62 तक मेट्रो टै्रक को भी इसी प्रोजेक्ट में शामिल करने का अनुरोध किया है ताकि दोनों काम एकसाथ शुरू हो जाएं।

यमुना ब्रिज का टेंडर जारी

डीएमआरसी ने ओखला बैराज से लगभग 85 मीटर दूर यमुना पर मेट्रो टै्रक का ब्रिज बनाने की प्लानिंग की है। इसके लिए 19 सितंबर से डीएमआरसी से टेंडर मिलेंगे। 5 अक्टूबर को इसकी प्रीबिड़ मीटिंग होगी। इसके बाद ब्रिज का टेंडर 24 अक्टूबर को शाम 3 बजे खुलेगा। इस ब्रिज को करीब दो साल में बनाने का टारगेट रखा जाएगा।

ग्रेनो जाने वाले टै्रक में देरी

चेयरमैन बलविंदर कुमार ने माना है कि सेक्टर -51 से ग्रेनो जाने के लिए जिस टै्रक की प्लानिंग की गई थी। उसका काम शुरू होने की फिलहाल संभावना नहीं है। इस पर लगभग पांच हजार करोड़ खर्च आना है। नोएडा – ग्रेनो अथॉरिटी को संयुक्त रूप से इस प्रोजेक्ट पर खर्च करना है। ग्रेनो अथॉरिटी में जिस स्थिति में है , उसे देखते हुए फिलहाल यह काम शुरू कराने का कोई संकेत नहीं ह ै।

नोएडा-ग्रेटर नोएडा : तैयार है क्नेक्टिविटी प्लान

नोएडा – ग्रेटर नोएडा में प्रॉपर्टी खरीदने वालों के लिए अच्छी खबर है। आनेवाले दिनों में इन दोनों शहरों को एनसीआर के अन्य शहरों से बेहतर तरीके से जोड़ने के लिए नोएडा – ग्रेटर नोएडा अथॉरिटी ने एक प्लान तैयार किया है। इस प्लान में रोड और मेट्रो , दोनों प्रकार के नेटवर्क पर फोकस किया गया है।

नोएडा – ग्रेटर नोएडा में 28 किमी के मेट्रो नेटवर्क के अलावा 6 बड़ी और प्रमुख सड़कों की प्लानिंग है। नोएडा – ग्रेटर नोएडा को मेट्रो के द्वारा नोएडा एक्सटेंशन से भी जोड़ने की प्लानिंग है। जीनआईडीए ( ग्रेटर नोएडा डिवेलपमेंट अथॉरिटी ) के सीईओ का कहना है कि दिल्ली और एनसीआर के बीच मेट्रो नेटवर्क का डीपीआर ( डिटेल प्रोजेक्ट रिपोर्ट ) तैयार व अप्रूव हो चुका है। अब फंड जुटाया जा रहा है।

प्लानिंग के मुताबिक 28 किमी के नोएडा – ग्रेटर नोएडा लाइन पर 19 स्टेशन होंगे। इस पर करीब 5 हजार करोड़ की लागत आने का अनुमान है। इस लइन के लिए मिट्टी परीक्षण जल्द ही शुरू होने की संभावना है। नोएडा – ग्रेटर नोएडा को एनसीआर के अन्य शहरों जैसे गाजियाबाद , फरीदाबाद , गुड़गांव आदि से बेहतर तरीके से जोड़ने के लिए एक कनेक्टिविटी चेन का प्रस्ताव है। इसके तहत अधिकारियों ने दो मेट्रो लिंक का प्रस्ताव रखा है।

पहले लिंक के तहत सेक्टर 32 या सिटी सेंटर तक जा रही मेट्रो को सेक्टर 62 तक ले जाने का प्रस्ताव है और आगे इसे दिल्ली के गाजीपुर से जोड़ने की सोची गई है। यह मेट्रो लाइन गाजीपुर , कल्याण पुरी , मयूर विहार फेज -1, सराय काले खां , मूलचंद , एम्स और भीकाजी कामा आदि इलाकों को कवर करेगी। मेट्रो लिंक 2 को सेक्टर 18 से बढ़ा कर एनएच -8 तक ले जाने की तैयारी है। इसी के जरिए गुड़गांव और फरीदाबाद से नोएडा – ग्रेटर नोएडा को क्रमश : सेंट्रल सेक्रेटेरियट और बदरपुर के जोड़ने की सोची गई है।

डिवेलपमेंट के तीन फेज

इस मेट्रो प्रोजेक्ट को गाजियाबाद में तीन फेज में अमल में लाया जा रहा है। पहले फेज में वैशाली तक मेट्रो की शुरुआत हो चुकी है। 2.8 किमी लंबी इस लिंक लाइन से राजीव चौक ( कनॉट प्लेस ) का सीधा जुड़ाव है। इसे आगे इंदिरापुरम तक बढ़ा कर नोएडा सेक्टर 62 के रास्ते सेक्टर 32 से जोड़ा जाएगा। यह एक्सटेंशन फेज 2 का हिस्सा है। इसके लिए डीएमआरसी और गाजियाबाद डिवेलपमेंट अथॉरिटी के द्वारा सर्वे का काम किया जा चुका है। वैशाली – इंदिरापुरम लाइन बाद में नोएडा क्रॉसिंग -62, प्रताप विहार , शाहपुर के रास्ते महरौली से जोड़ी जाएगी। इस लाइन की लंबाई 16 किमी होगी। फेज 3 में गाजियाबाद बस स्टैंड और कश्मीर गेट के बीच जुड़ाव होगा। यह साइन 12 किमी लंबी होगी। इस पर करीब 18 सौ करोड़ रुपये के खर्च का अनुमान है।

नोएडा – ग्रेटर नएडा और गाजियाबाद के अधिकारियों ने क्नेक्टिविटी को नए सिरे से परिभाषित करने की योजना बनाई है। इसके तहत गाजियाबाद में 17 नए फ्लाईओवरों का निर्माण किया जाएगा। तीन फ्लाईओवर तो अगले पांच साल में ही बन जाएंगे। इसलके लिए यूपी स्टेट बिर्ज कारपोरेशन के साथ एक समझौता किया गया है।

सड़क नेटवर्क

जहां तक सड़क नेटवर्क की बात है तो परथला से जेवर के बीच 130 मीटर चौड़ी सड़क बनाई जाएगी। इसकी लंबाई 28 किमी होगी। हापुड़ से परी चौक के बीच 213 किमी लंबी और 105 मीटर चौड़ी सड़क बनेगी। नूर नगर से एलजी चौक के बीच 60 मीटर चौड़ी सड़क प्रस्तावित है। इसी तरह एक और 60 मीटर चौड़ी सड़क सैनी से कुरी खेड़ा तक 2013 में बन तक तैयार हो जाएगी। इन सभी सड़कों को नोएडा – ग्रेटर नोएडा एक्सटेंशन , एक्सप्रेस – वे और ईस्टर्न पेरिफेरियल से जोड़ा जाएगा।

क्या है वर्तमान स्थिति

नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा तक मेट्रो लाने की कवायद ग्रेटर नोएडा अथॉरिटी ने 2005 में शुरू की। ग्रेटर नोएडा तक मेट्रो लाने के लिए निर्माण का जिम्मा दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल कॉरपोरेशन (डीएमआरसी) को देने का निर्णय लिया गया है। अथॉरिटी ने डीएमआरसी को ही टेक्निकल कंसलटेंट भी नियुक्त किया है। डीएमआरसी अथॉरिटी को रिक्वेस्ट फॉर प्रप्रोजल (आरएफपी) सौंप चुकी है। हालांकि मेट्रो प्रोजेक्ट पर टेक्निकल रिपोर्ट मिलना अभी बांकी है। टेक्निकल रिपोर्ट मिलने के बाद ही निर्माण कार्य शुरू करने की तारीख फाइनल हो सकेगी। अथॉरिटी ने निर्माण करने वाली कंपनी के लिए आवश्यक शर्तें भी तय कर ली हैं। निर्माण कंपनी के लिए उस भूमि का भी चयन कर लिया गया है जो कंपनी को निर्माण के बदले दिया जाएगा। अथॉरिटी ने 2014 तक मेट्रो को नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा लाने का लक्ष्य रखा है।

मेट्रो का प्रस्तावित रूट

नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा बोडाकी तक कुल 22 स्टेशन होंगे। इसमें नोएडा सिटी सेंटर से लेकर सेक्टर -82 एक्सप्रेस – वे तक मेट्रो के 13 स्टेशन होंगे। बाकी 9 स्टेशन ग्रेटर नोएडा में होंगे। मेट्रो नोएडा के सिटी सेंटर , सेक्टर -49, 50, 51, 78, 81, 83, 137, 143, 151, 182 व नोएडा – ग्रेटर नोएडा एक्सप्रेस – वे होते हुए नॉलेज पार्क -1, 2, परी चौक , अल्फा -1, 2, डेल्टा -1, नॉलेज पार्क -4, आरसी ग्रीन व बोडाकी तक आएगी।

क्या होगा फायदा

ग्रेटर नोएडा तक मेट्रो आने से यह शहर सही मायनों में एनसीआर के अन्य शहरों से जुड़ जाएगा , खासकर दिल्ली से इसकी कनेक्टिविटी बेस्ट हो जाएगी। हर रोज शहर से लाखों लोग दिल्ली और एनसीआर में जॉब के लिए जाते हैं। इस समय उन्हें आने – जाने में काफी समय लगता है। मेट्रो के आने से आवाजाही करना आसान हो जाएगा और समय की बचत होगी। वहीं लाखो लोग शहर के इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर को देखकर यहां मकान लेना चाहते हैं , लेकिन मेट्रो की कनेक्टिविटी न होने के कारण कई लोग पीछे हट जाते हैं। ऐसे में यदि मेट्रो यहां आती है , तो शहर में और तेजी से विकास होगा। इसके अलावा यहां पढ़ाई के लिए आने वाले स्टूडेंट्स के लिए भी शहर में आना आसान हो जाएगा।

देरी की वजह

दरअसल मेट्रो को लेकर अथॉरिटी में कन्फ्यूजन की स्थिति शुरू से ही बनी रही। पहले यहां मेट्रो लाने की बात की गई , फिर अचानक से शहर में मोनो रेल चलाने की बात हुई। इसके बाद फिर अथॉरिटी ने अपना सुर बदला और मेट्रो चलाने की बात कही। निर्माण एजेंसी को लेकर भी करीब 1 साल तक कन्फ्यूजन रहा। पहले गुड़गांव की तर्ज पर किसी निजी एजेंसी से मेट्रो का निर्माण कराने का विकल्प रखा गया। बाद में डीएमआरसी से निर्माण कराने पर सहमति बनी। अब नोएडा एक्सटेंशन की टेंशन ने इस प्रोजेक्ट पर ब्रेक लगा रखा है। दरअसल इसकी वजह से अथॉरिटी वित्तीय संकट से जूझ रही है। ऐसे में मेट्रो प्रोजेक्ट शुरू करना तो दूर अथॉरिटी के पास गांव में विकास के लिए भी पैसे नहीं हैं। दबी जुबान अथॉरिटी अफसर स्वीकार करते हैं कि ऐसी ही स्थिति रही तो मेट्रो प्रोजेक्ट और लेट हो सकता है।

अगर सबकुछ ठीक ठाक चलता रहा तो नोएडा एक्सटेंशन के लोगों को आने वाले

समय में कोई दिक्कत नहीं होगी। यदि प्राधिकरण आर्थिक परेशानियों के चलते

मेट्रो लाने में सक्षम न हुआ तो बिल्डरों की योजना है कि वह अपने दम पर

नोएडा से सीधे एक्सटेंशन तक मेट्रो प्रोजेक्ट को पूरा कर देंगे। गुड़गांव

में ऐसा ही कुछ निजी कंपनी ने करके दिखा भी दिया है और दिल्ली-गुड़गांव

मेट्रो लाइन से जोड़ा जा चुका है।

मालूम हो कि नोएडा एक्सटेंशन में करीब छोटे बड़े 70 बिल्डरों के

प्रोजेक्ट हैं। दो लाख हेक्टेयर जमीन में करीब 2.50 लाख फ्लैट बनाए जा

रहे हैं।मौजूदा समय में प्राधिकरण की आर्थिक स्थिति ठीक नहीं है और अगले

कुछ समय में सुधार होने की गुंजाइश भी कम ही है। एक बिल्डर ने नाम न

छापने पर बताया कि अगर भविष्य में जरूरत पड़ी तो नोएडा से सीधे एक्सटेंशन

के लिए मेट्रो प्रोजेक्ट को मिलकर पूरा कर देंगे। इसके लिए सीधे पांच-छह

किलोमीटर तक का ही पैसा खर्च करना होगा, उसे सब मिलकर कर सकते हैं।

New Route for Greater Noida Metro mulled

। ग्रेटर नोएडा मेट्रो विस्तार में 80 :20 के अनुपात से इनकार कर चुके नोएडा प्राधिकरण ने ग्रेनो मेट्रो मामले पर दबाव बनता देख इसका नया प्रस्ताव तैयार करने की सोची है। वाया सेक्टर-51-50 ग्रेनो मेट्रो ले जाने में संचालन खर्च ज्यादा होने की बात कहते हुए प्राधिकरण ने मेट्रो ट्रैक को बॉटिनिकल गार्डेन से जोड़कर एक्सप्रेस वे के साथ-साथ ग्रेटर नोएडा ले जाने की योजना तैयार की है। नए रूट में सेक्टर-44 को केंद्रित करते हुए सेक्टर-94, 125, 142 और सीधा एक्सपो सेंटर होते हुए परी चौक तक मेट्रो पहुंचेगी।

इसके लिए कंसलटेंट कंपनी वाईएंडयंग को परीक्षण का काम सौंप दिया गया है। वहीं, दूसरी तरफ डीएमआरसी को भी नए रूट के लिए सुझाव देने की बात कही गई है।

नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा मेट्रो पर आए संकट के लिए अमर उजाला ने मुहिम शुरू की। इसमें हर वर्ग को शामिल कर के मेट्रो की आवश्यकता पर प्राधिकरण की नींद को तोड़ने का काम किया। आखिरकार मुहिम रंग लाई और नोएडा प्राधिकरण ने इस विस्तार को अपने हाथ में ले लिया है। नई योजना के अनुसार पुराने रूट को छोड़कर नए रूट के जरिए मेट्रो ग्रेटर नोएडा तक पहुंचेगी। नोएडा के चेयरमैन व मुख्य कार्यपालक अधिकारी बलविंदर कुमार ने बताया कि सेक्टर-51, 50, 82 से होते हुए ग्रेनो पहुंचने में संचालन खर्च में काफी नुकसान की उम्मीद है, इसके लिए डीएमआरसी और प्राधिकरण की कंसलटेंट कंपनी ने भी अपनी रिपोर्ट दी। मेट्रो को सार्वजनिक परिवहन का हिस्सा मानते हुए नया रूट बनाने पर नोएडा ने निर्णय लिया है। इसके लिए सेक्टर-44, 94 और 142 से आगे बढ़ते हुए परी चौक तक पहुंचा जा सकता है। इसमें पांच किलोमीटर का पैसा भी बचेगा, साथ ही नोएडा एक्सप्रेस-वे के किनारे बस रही आबादी को भी सीधा दिल्ली से संपर्क हो जाएगा। पहले 29 किमी की लाइन का प्रस्ताव था, जबकि नया प्रस्ताव 23.5 किमी का होगा। इसमें ग्रेटर नोएडा के हिस्से में तीन से चार किलोमीटर का क्षेत्र आएगा, जिसकी वजह से उस पर ज्यादा बजट का बोझ भी नहीं आएगा। बलविंदर कुमार ने बताया कि कंसलटेंट की रिपोर्ट मिलते ही डीएमआरसी के साथ वार्ता करके आगे की कार्रवाई शुरू कर दी जाएगी।

चार किमी के पैच ने किया काम

नोएडा। कालिंदी कुंज से बॉटिनिकल गार्डन के बीच बनने वाली मेट्रो लाइन की लंबाई चार किलोमीटर की है। इसके बीच में महामाया फ्लाईओवर और एक्सप्रेस-वे आएगा। यहां एक जंक्शन बनाकर एक्सप्रेस-वे के साथ-साथ मेट्रो को दौड़ाया जा सकता है। नोएडा को यह फायदे का सौदा लगा, जबकि ग्रेटर नोएडा प्राधिकरण को ज्यादा पैसे खर्च करने की आवश्यकता भी नहीं पड़ेगी।

The Noida Extension land row has forced the authorities to shelve the ambitious Noida-Greater Noida Metro project. The poor financial health of the Greater Noida Authority has led to the decision. Two court judgments have scrapped the forcible acquisition of around 750 hectares of land in

two villages. This and the pending court cases have made the fate of 1 lakh booked houses in Noida Extension uncertain.

The authority had taken loans and spent Rs 4,000 crore on development and paying compensation to farmers of Noida Extension villages. It had allotted 3,000 hectares of land to over 60 builders for Rs 30,000 crore to be paid in installments.

“Yes, the Metro project will have to be shelved. We mortgaged the acquired land and took loans from banks. Cash flow has stopped. We don’t know how to repay the loans. We fear banks may attach property in case of non-payment. Not only Metro, all development projects will be affected. We will not be able to even carry out the maintenance of existing projects,” said Greater Noida CEO Rama Raman.

With efforts on an out-of-court settlement with Noida Extension villages not bearing fruit, the authority may have to return the builders’ money. Builders have already paid Rs 5,000 crore to the authority. Plus, the authority has sold 3,000 plots for Rs 250 crore. The allottees have deposited R50 crore in two installments, but they, like the builders, are also stopping payment.

“The authority will find it difficult to bail itself out by taking more bank loans. Banks give loans on the basis of the land the authority has. Land parcels are slipping out. The ownership of more and more land is being challenged in court. There’s no money for new projects,” said an official.

Work on the proposed Noida-Greater Noida line began two years ago and the construction was to take off soon. Tentatively billed at Rs 5,000 crore, the project had its route starting from the last station in Noida (City Centre-Sector 32), and moving towards Greater Noida along the Expressway.

“Since 13 of the 22 stations were to come up in Noida, we requested the bulk of the project cost from the Noida Authority, but it has expressed inability,” said an official.

Work stopped in Noida Extension

The Greater Noida Authority has stopped all development work in Noida Extension villages. Officials are troubled by farmers’ demand for increased compensation. They want to convey a message that land rates go up because of development and once the projects are shelved, their land will lose much of its value.

“We have cancelled some project tenders. We are adopting a wait and watch policy. There’s no settlement yet. Why spend more money in an area whose ownership is yet to be decided?” said a senior official.

Metro connectivity projects to link the twin cities to Delhi and other

cities of the NCR. PUNITA TIWARY reports

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has planned

for a major road network and Metro connectivity to connect Noida,

Delhi and Ghaziabad. The DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) has

approved a 28km-long Noida-Greater Noida Metro line, which is expected

to be completed by 2014. The daily passenger traffic is expected to be

around 65,000.

In addition, a plan to network six major roads has also been

finalized. There is also a plan to connect the Noida-Greater Noida

Metro line to Noida Extension in Phase III. As per plan, Noida-Boraki

track will link to Sector 32 via Sectors 50 and 71; this alignment is

yet to be finalized.

Rama Raman, the chief executive officer of GNIDA, says: “We have

planned to extend the existing Delhi-Noida Metro link to connect to

Delhi and the NCR. For this a detailed project report (DPR) has been

approved. We are now approaching financial institutions for viability

gap funds and tax exemptions. GNIDA has appointed the DMRC as a

consultant to get clearances from the departments concerned.”

According to the plan, 19 stations have been proposed along the 28km-

long Noida-Greater Noida Metro link, which will costs around Rs 5,000

crore. Soil testing for the project is expected to begin soon.

To connect the twin cities to all the other NCR cities like Ghaziabad,

Gurgaon and Faridabad, the Noida-Greater Noida authority has made a

proposal for a chain of connectivity, which was put up before the

DMRC. As part of the chain of connectivity plan, the authorities have

proposed two new Metro links which cover all the major areas of Delhi

and the NCR. Under the new Metro Link 1, existing Metro terminal at

Sector 32 (City Centre) will be extended up to Sector 62 and further

connect Ghazipur (Delhi). This new Metro link will cover Ghazipur,

Kalyanpuri, Mayur Vihar Phase1, Sarai Kale Khan, Moolchand, AIIMS, and

Bhikaji Kama Place.

Through the new Metro Link 2, Sector 18 will be extended up to NH-8.

It will cover AIIMS, Okhla, Nehru Place, Malviya Nagar, and Vasant

Kunj. This will further connect to Gurgaon and Faridabad via Central

Secretariat and Badarpur. In addition, this Metro project is to be

implemented in Ghaziabad in three phases. The first link to Vaishali

is already operational. The 2.52km-long Vaishali track is connected to

Anand Vihar, which directly links to Rajiv Chowk via Vikas Marg. This

route (Anand Vihar-Vaishali) will go up to Indirapuram, which connects

to Noida Sector 32 via Sector 62.

The extension of Vaishali-Indirapuram Metro route comes under Phase 2.

For this, DMRC and Ghaziabad Development Authority’s survey work has

been completed. The Vaishali-Indirapuram line will further link to

Mehrauli via Noida Crossing 62, CISF, Pratap Vihar, Dundahera and

Shahapur in Phase 2. The length of this line is 16km. The total travel

time to Rajiv Chowk is 35 minutes. In Phase 3, the Metro line will

connect the bus stand of Ghaziabad to ISBT (Kashmiri Gate). The length

of this line will be 12km. It will cost around Rs 1800 crore.

Authorities of Noida-Greater Noida and Ghaziabad entered a new phase

of intense planning and implementation to improve of city-level

infrastructure. In Ghaziabad, 17 flyovers including three clovers

leafs have been planned to be built in the next five years. A MoU has

been signed with the UP State Bridge Corporation Limited (which made

the AIIMS and the Dhaula Kuan flyover in Delhi) for five flyovers,

including a clover leaf at Meerut Road crossing. This will be followed

by a Metro plan, for a whole network and not merely a token presence.

The city will benefit from the six-eight lane expressway linking Delhi

to Meerut, Hapur, and Bulandshahr. These expressways, as well as the

Delhi Metro peripheric (planned on the lines of the Paris peripheric),

will touch the new developments in Ghaziabad. The city is slated to

have multiple projects like a number of shopping malls, multiplexes,

residential and commercial developments.

Like Noida authority and GNIDA, GDA’s proposal of an express highway

linking Meerut Crossing to NH-24 will create integrated flyovers at

all level crossings. In addition, the Delhi Metro service, the

Northern Railway project (Integrated Railway-Bus Transport System)

will make commuting easy between Ghaziabad and Delhi.

Under the major roads networking plan, a 130-meter wide and 28km-long

road from Parthala to Jewar, a 105-meter wide and 23km long road from

Pari Chowk to Hapur, a 60-meter wide and 12km long road from Noor

Nagar to LG Chowk and another 60-meter wide and 18km long road from

Saini to Kuri Kheda will be constructed by 2013. All these will be

linked to Noida-Greater Noida Extension, the existing expressway and

the proposed Eastern Peripheral.

Authorities to spend Rs 20,000 crore on Noida projects

NOIDA: The Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway authorities on Monday have planned for large scale infrastructure development across Gautam Budh Nagar district. In a joint board meeting, the major focus of the Authorities remained on providing connectivity within the district as well as with Delhi. “In the next four years, Rs 20,000 crore will be spent on the projects,” said Mohinder Singh, chairman of the Authorities.

To begin with, the authorities have approved a major detailed extension of the Metro route connecting almost all of Noida and Greater Noida at a cost of Rs 10,000 crores, covering a total of 86 km. The route is estimated to be ready in the next three years.

Besides extending the existing city centre Metro route connecting Kalindi Kunj and Botanical Garden, a new line from the City Centre station in sector 32 to sector 62, touching NH-24, was also approved. This new 6-km route will be via sector 71 crossing and will provide connectivity to sectors 32, 34, 35, Hoshiarpur, sectors 51, 52, 71, Greater Noida Extension Marg, Sarfabad, sectors 60, 61, 62, 63 and NH 24.

A new loop from sector 71 via sector 121 will then join the Greater Noida route between the City Centre and Bodaki railway station in Greater Noida. This route will be from City Centre along the Greater Noida Expressway, touching Knowledge Park 4 via Pari Chowk and will finally end at Bodaki. The new loop has been added mainly to connect Noida extension that falls near sector 121 with Noida as well as with Greater Noida.

“With the Metro extension, most sectors will be within walking distance from the stations. Connectivity to Greater Noida will also improve tremendously,” Singh said.

To smoothen chaotic traffic, the Noida Authority has approved construction of a 5.8 km elevated road parallel to the Shahdara drain. Starting from sectors 14 and 14 A onto sector 95 and Kalindi Kunj, the stretch costing Rs 525 crores will be of four lanes. This route will provide an alternate route between Kalindi Kunj and Noida, thus easing traffic congestion on the expressway.

In the meeting, the Authorities also approved the draft master plan for Greater Noida. As per the 2031 Master Plan, a total of 5,04,000 hectares will be developed. Of this, 27.6 per cent area will be reserved for residential development, while 24.2 per cent will be developed as green area. The approved master plan includes six expressways, overbridges, flyovers, warehouses and godowns, besides several residential, educational, industrial and commercial hubs.

According to the Authority chairperson, development of these 5,04,000 hectares is crucial as it falls between two major hubs of commercial activity, the eastern freight corridor between Ludhiana and Kolkata and the western freight corridor between Dadri and Mumbai.

A state-of-the-art Buddhist museum and a research centre sprawling across 25 acres within the Gautam Budh University campus was also approved in the Monday board meeting. Estimated to cost Rs 84 crores, the project will house art galleries and sculpture sections and various cultural workshops will also be held there.

For entertainment and leisure of residents, the Authority plans to construct a modern Laser Park in sector 91. Measuring 29 acres, this park will cost Rs 20 crores and will be the first of its kind in the NCR. It will boast a 3-acre artificial water body, computerized lighting systems besides musical fountains, an amusement area, a marine aquarium, open theatres and walking pathways.

मेट्रो बदलेगी नोएडा का लुक

नोएडा अथॉरिटी की बोर्ड बैठक में कई अहम फैसले लिए गए हैं। नोएडा, ग्रेटर नोएडा और गाजियाबाद के बीच मेट्रो का नेटवर्क बढ़ाने के लिए उसके मौजूदा नेटवर्क को 7 की बजाय कुल 86 किलोमीटर करने का प्रस्ताव पारित किया गया है। सिटी सेंटर से एनएच-24 को लिंक करने के साथ ही सेक्टर-71 से 121 होते हुए ग्रेटर नोएडा के बोडाकी स्टेशन तक मेट्रो को शुरू करने का प्रस्ताव है। इसके अलावा एक नया रूट नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा एक्सप्रेस-वे रूट पर सेक्टर-94 से 142 तक बनाने का प्रस्ताव मंजूर किया गया है। इस तमाम प्रोजेक्ट पर लगभग 10 हजार करोड़ रुपये का खर्च अगले तीन सालों में होना प्रस्तावित है। नोेएडा, ग्रेटर नोएडा और यमुना एक्सप्रेस-वे अथॉरिटी के चेयरमैन मोहिंदर सिंह ने बोर्ड बैठक के बाद यह जानकारी दी।

उन्होंने बताया कि अब तक नोएडा में न्यू अशोक नगर से सिटी सेंटर तक कुल 7 किलोमीटर लंबा मेट्रो टै्रक है। सिटी सेंटर से ग्रेटर नोएडा के बोडाकी स्टेशन तक वाया परी चौक की लाइन का प्रस्ताव पहले ही पारित हो चुका है। इसकी डीपीआर भी तैयार हो चुकी है। अब शहर में हो रहे डिवेलपमेंट और डिमांड को ध्यान में रखते हुए नोएडा अथॉरिटी ने सभी प्रमुख क्षेत्रों को मेट्रो कॉरिडोर से जोड़ने का प्रस्ताव अनुमोदित किया है। मोहिंदर सिंह ने बताया कि आने वाले दिनों में नोएडा, ग्रेटर नोएडा और गाजियाबाद के बीच मेट्रो से सफर आसान हो जाएगा। कालिंदी कुंज तक लिंक बनने के बाद साउथ दिल्ली, फरीदाबाद और गुड़गांव जाने में दिक्कत नहीं होगी। उन्होंने बताया कि ग्रेटर नोएडा से साउथ दिल्ली जाने वालों को मेट्रो रूट के दो आप्शन मिलेंगे। जिन्हें ग्रेटर नोएडा से साउथ दिल्ली की तरफ जाना है वे सेक्टर-142 से होते हुए सेक्टर-94 के पास से सीधे कालिंदी कुंज की तरफ जा सकेंगे। अगर कोई गाजियाबाद की तरफ जाना चाहता है तो वह सेक्टर-137 से सिटी सेंटर की तरफ जाने वाली मेट्रो का यूज कर सके गा। यही नहीं, सेक्टर-71 के चौराहे पर भी ठीक ऐसा ही जंक्शन होगा जैसा बॉटेनिकल गार्डन के पास होगा। सेक्टर-71 चौराहे पर भी एक रूट एनएच-24 की तरफ जाएगा। दूसरा सेक्टर-121 से बोडाकी स्टेशन की तरफ निकलेगा। यह सारा रूट कुल 86 किलोमीटर लंबा होगा।

शाहदरा डे्रन पर बनेगी एलिवेटिड रोड

चेयरमैन मोहिंदर सिंह ने बताया कि शाहदरा डे्रन पर दिल्ली से नोएडा आते वक्त चिल्ला रेग्युलेटर से लेफ्ट टर्न कर शाहदरा डे्रन के किनारे एक एलिवेटेड रोड बनाई जाएगी। यह कालिंदी कुंज लिंक रोड से कनेक्ट हो जाएगी। यह सड़क लगभग 5.8 किलोमीटर लंबी होगी। इस पर लगभग 525 करोड़ का खर्च आएगा। यह रोड 4 लेन की होगी। मोहिंदर सिंह ने बताया कि सेक्टर -1 से 11 तक औद्योगिक एरिया और पूर्व में विकसित किए गए सभी आवासीय सेक्टरों की 9 मीटर तक की सड़कों को अब सीमेंट कंक्रीट से बनाए जाने का प्रस्ताव अनुमोदित किया गया है। इस कार्य के लिए पहले चरण में 50 करोड़ रुपये मंजूर किए गए हैं।

सिंगापुर की तर्ज पर बनेगा लेजर पार्क

अथॉरिटी की ओर से सेक्टर -91 में लगभग 29 एकड़ एरिया में लेजर पार्क का निर्माण किया जाएगा। इस पार्क का प्रस्ताव अनुमोदित कर दिया गया है। पार्क के बारे में चीफ मेंटिनेंस इंजीनियर यादव सिंह ने बताया कि इस पार्क में उच्च श्रेणी के फाउंटेन , ओपन थियेटर , पैदल पथवे , हट , झील , पार्किंग और 3 एकड़ क्षेत्र में झील बनाई जानी प्रस्तावित है। इसमें कृत्रिम लहरें , म्यूजिकल फाउंटेन , लेजर शो , मूवी प्रोजेक्टर भी होंगे। यहां का पूरा सिस्टम कंप्यूटरीकृत होगा। इसमें भूमिगत ग्लास से बनी टनल भी होंगी। यह एनसीआर में पहला लेजर पार्क होगा। देश में इस तरह का एक पार्क सिर्फ हैदराबाद में है। इस पर लगभग 20 करोड़ का खर्च आएग ा।

4 new Metro lines approved

The Noida authority board on Monday approved four new Metro lines. These four lines are in addition to the already proposed Noida to Greater Noida line. All the routes put together will improve connectivity between the twin cities and make travel to and from Delhi smoother, besides allowing people

to move within Noida and Greater Noida in a much better way.

The new routes are:

From City Centre to NH-24 via Sector 71 (covering a major part of the city), from Sector 71 to Bodaki in Greater Noida via Sector 121 (this covers the Noida Extension area), from Kalindi Kunj to Botanical Garden (connecting Noida to South Delhi) and from Sector 94/124 to Sector 142 via Sector 44 (allowing Greater Noida residents to go to South Delhi without coming to Noida).

Though Metro has proved to be a great relief, intra-city connectivity continues to be a problem. A city of more than 150 sectors, there are only six stations in Noida, catering only to nine immediate and as many adjoining sectors.

The Noida board has also approved a direct Metro link between Noida and Delhi’s Sarita Vihar. It’s a 3.76-km Metro route between Noida’s Botanical Garden and Kalindi Kunj near Sarita Vihar.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has submitted a detailed project report (DPR) which puts the total cost at Rs 786 crore.

This 3.76-km line will be part of DMRC’s larger plan to link Jahangirpuri and Kalindi Kunj. A DPR for the entire plans has been prepared too.

Noida Authority approves extension of Metro’s line 8

The Noida Authority on Monday gave in principle approval for extension of proposed line 8 — Janakpuri to Kalindi Kunj — up to Botanical Garden in Noida Sector 32. While the Delhi cabinet and the group of ministers have already given its approval to the project, senior DMRC officials said approval an

d signing of memorandum of understanding between the Noida Authoirty officials and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is mandatory to ensure immediate construction.

The 3.7-kilometre extension will have just one station en route — tentatively named as Amity Metro station for its proximity to Amity University — and will end at the existing Botanical Garden Metro station. The extension is likely to cost R786 crore.

While the DMRC will bear the cost of the rolling stock and operational expenditure, the Noida Authority will have to pay for the construction and will have to provide land for construction of the Metro line and the stations.

The extension will reduce the distance and travelling time between south Delhi and Noida. Running parallel to outer Ring Road in Delhi, the proposed Janakpuri West — Noida corridor will cut through some prominent residential and commercial hubs in south Delhi.

Senior DMRC officials said the section will benefit a large number of people who travel between Noida and south Delhi every day.

“This corridor will have two inter-change stations — at Kalkaji on Badarpur line and at Hauz Khas on Gurgaon line —which help people move anywhere in south and central Delhi from Noida and Greater Noida and vice-versa in matter of just few minutes,” said a senior DMRC official.

Since the Noida Authority is also planning construction of its own light rail transit system between Noida and Greater Noida, this line would virtually bring Greater Noida and south Delhi very close to each other.

The 37.2-kilometre corridor — 33.5-km in Delhi and 3.7-km in Noida — will have 24 elevated and 12 underground stations. The line will also serve as an alternate to Dwarka — Noida section for people who travel between west Delhi and Noida.

आरएफपी जारी होने में लग सकते हैं 2 महीने

नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा के बोडाकी रेलवे स्टेशन तक करीब 29 किलोमीटर लंबे मेट्रो टै्रक बनाने के लिए आरएफपी बनाने में दो महीने लग सकते हंै। यह बात नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा रूट की प्रस्तावित प्रोजेक्ट की रिव्यू मीटिंग में सामने आई। मीटिंग की अध्यक्षता सीईओ नोएडा व ग्रेटर नोएडा रमा रमण ने की। नोएडा से कालिंदी कुंज को लिंक करने से संबंधित प्रस्ताव पर मई में ही मीटिंग हो सकती है।

रिव्यू मीटिंग के बाद नोएडा व ग्रेटर नोएडा अथॉरिटी के सीईओ रमा रमण ने बताया कि इस मीटिंग में कंसलटेंट के रूप में आए डीएमआरसी के अधिकारियों ने टेक्निकल, स्पेसिफिकेशन और मैन्युअल काम के लिए करीब दो महीने का समय रिक्वेस्ट फॉर प्रपोजल (आरएफपी) के लिए मांगा। रमा रमण ने बताया कि जुलाई में आरएफपी जारी होगा। इसके दो या तीन महीने बिड मांगने व अन्य प्रक्रिया में लगेगा। इसके बाद ही इस टै्रक पर निर्माण की राह खुलेगी। इस मीटिंग में डिप्टी सीईओ सी.बी. सिंह, नोएडा के प्लानिंग डिपार्टमेंट के राजपाल कौशिक, ग्रेटर नोएडा से नीलू सहगल और डीएमआरसी के अधिकारियों ने भी हिस्सा लिया।

नोएडा से बोडाकी रेलवे स्टेशन तक प्रस्तावित मेट्रो टै्रक के बाद चौथे फेज में नोएडा और ग्रेटर नोएडा बोडाकी स्टेशन से वाया नोएडा एक्सटेंशन होते हुए सेक्टर 62 स्थित मॉडल टाऊन चौकी तक जोड़ने का प्लान है। हाल ही में डीएमआरसी के सीएमडी श्रीधरन ने नोएडा से गाजियाबाद तक मेट्रो को लिंक करने के संकेत दिए हैं। इससे यह तय है कि आने वाले दिनों में अब सेक्टर 32 सिटी सेंटर से सेक्टर 62, इंदिरापुरम व गाजियाबाद को मेट्रो के जरिए जोड़ने की राह भी खुलेगी।

पहले आरएफपी, अब तकनीकी रिपोर्ट में देरी

मेट्रो को नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा ले जाने के लिए रिक्वेस्ट फॉर प्रपोजल (आरएफपी) बृहस्पतिवार को सौंप दिया गया। दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल कॉरपोरेशन (डीएमआरसी) ने ग्रेटर नोएडा मेट्रो विस्तार की तकनीकी रिपोर्ट देने के लिए प्राधिकरण से एक माह का अतिरिक्त समय मांगा है। इस पर प्राधिकरण ने चिंता भी व्यक्त की। लगातार हो रही देरी से इस महत्वाकांक्षी परियोजना को समय से पूरा कराना मुश्किल हो जाएगा।

ज्ञात हो कि प्राधिकरण ने वर्ष 2014 तक मेट्रो को नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा ले जाने का लक्ष्य रखा है। इसकी कुल लागत पांच हजार करोड़ रुपये होगी। इसके बाद मेट्रो को सिटी सेंटर से सेक्टर 62 की तरफ ले जाने की योजना पर काम शुरू होगा। ग्रेटर नोएडा नोएडा मेट्रो विस्तार के लिए प्राधिकरण ने डीएमआरसी को कंसलटेंट नियुक्त किया है। डीएमआरसी को पहले जनवरी 2011 और फिर फरवंरी 2011 तक प्राधिकरण को आरएफपी सौंपना था, लेकिन वह सफल नहीं हुआ। आखिरकार डीएमआरसी ने पांच मई को प्राधिकरण के साथ बैठक कर उन्हें आरएफपी सौंप दिया। पहले आरएफपी और अब तकनीकी रिपोर्ट में लगातार हो रही देरी पर सीईओ रमा रमन ने बैठक में चिंता व्यक्त की। इसके बाद ही प्राधिकरण निविदा जारी कर काम शुरू करा सकेगा। यह प्रक्रिया पूरी करने में भी प्राधिकरण को कम से कम दो माह का वक्त लगेगा। लगातार हो रही देरी पर सीईओ ने बैठक का पूरा मसौदा चेयरमैन मोहिन्दर सिंह के समक्ष रखने का फैसला लिया है।

चिन्हित हुई जमीन

निर्माता कंपनी चुने जाने में अभी भले वक्त है, लेकिन प्राधिकरण ने बैठक में निर्माता कंपनी के लिए आवश्यक शर्ते तय कर ली गई हैं। इसके तहत निर्माता कंपनी को निर्माण के बदले जो कुछ राशि और कुछ वाणिज्यिक भूमि दी जाएगी। इसके लिए भूमि का चयन कर लिया गया है। उसी निर्माता कंपनी का चयन किया जाएगा, जो कम जमीन लेकर जल्द काम करने को तैयार होगी।

Pvt players may build Gr Noida Metro route

NOIDA: A day after the Greater Noida Authority said it was analyzing the Detailed Project Report submitted by DMRC for extending the Noida metro line up to Greater Noida, the two parties did not reach a compromise on the estimated cost of the project. According to sources, the Greater Noida Authority and Noida Authority are now mulling to invite private players to carry out the work. In such a scenario, the DMRC would act as the technical consultant for the project, supervising the tender process and other formalities.

Meanwhile, in a meeting with the two Authorities on Thursday, DMRC submitted its Request For Proposal document and sought a month’s time for preparing its technical specification manual. Only after the technical specification manual is submitted that the Authority can appoint private consultants for analyzing the project. In the meeting, the Authority also earmarked a land parcel worth Rs 10,000 crore along the proposed Metro route for commercial development.

Greater Noida Metro work to start by Sept

GREATER NOIDA: Work on the proposed Metro link between Noida sector 32 and Greater Noida is expected to begin soon. Greater Noida Authority officials say that the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has submitted its final Detailed Project Report and they are currently examining it. The Authority is likely to call for tenders this September.

As per the project report, the Metro rail project has been given a 2014 deadline. This line will be an extension of the Metro line 3 that connects Dwarka sector 21 to Noida sector 32.

To be constructed at a cost of Rs 4,000 crores, the proposed Metro line to Greater Noida will have another five stations in Noida before connecting to Greater Noida at Pari Chowk.

“The five new stations in Noida are planned at sector 50, sector 78, sector 101, sector 82, and sector 92. We are finalizing the location of stations in Greater Noida,” said a senior Greater Noida Authority official. The Greater Noida Metro corridor is likely to have eight stations and will stretch up to another 35 km from Pari Chowk.

“We are studying the DPR and will finish all formalities by next week. We will then call tenders for the construction and, after finalizing the contractors, work will start by September,” the official said.

The Metro for Greater Noida will start from the last station in Noida (City Centre) and move towards the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and touch Knowledge Park 4 via Pari Chowk and end at Badoki.

In May last year, the Greater Noida Authority approved the extension of the Noida line after the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation gave a technical presentation to the authority about its extension to the sub-city. In June, officials of Noida authority, GNIDA and DMRC met to discuss on a DPR. However, at that time the DPR could not be taken forward as the two parties could not agree on their respective cost sharing ratio.

मेट्रो प्रोजेक्ट के लिए डीएमआरसी ने दिया प्रेजेंटेशन

ग्रेटर नोएडा तक मेट्रो लाने के लिए ग्रेटर नोएडा अथॉरिटी ने प्रक्रिया तेज कर दी है। डीएमआरसी की टीम ने सोमवार को अथॉरिटी ऑफिस में मेट्रो का प्रेजेंटेशन दिया। इस दौरान अथॉरिटी के प्लानिंग विभाग के अफसर मौजूद थे। अथॉरिटी अफसरों का कहना है कि मेट्रो का काम शुरू करने के लिए अप्रैल में टेंडर जारी कर दिए जाएंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा नॉलेज पार्क- 5 तक मेटो ले जाने के लिए पीपी मॉडल अपनाया जाएगा।

मेट्रो प्रोजेक्ट के लिए जल्द टेंडर मांगे जाएंगे। जो एजेंसी मेट्रो का काम पूरा करेगी उसे कमर्शल यूज के लिए मेट्रो के पास ही अथॉरिटी जमीन उपलब्ध कराएंगी। नोएडा से लेकर ग्रेटर नोएडा नॉलेज पार्क-5 तक कुल 22 रूट होंगे। इसमें मेट्रो के 13 स्टेशन नोएडा सिटी सेंटर से लेकर सेक्टर 82 एक्सप्रेस-वे तक होगे बाकी 9 स्टेशन ग्रेटर नोएडा में नॉलेज पार्क-4 एक्सप्रेस-वे, परी चौक के अलावा अल्फा कमर्शल बेल्ट, हेरिटेज क्लब, विप्रो कंपनी के पास नॉलेज पार्क-5 में हांेगे। अथॉरिटी की योजना मेट्रो को जेवर व वापस नोएडा 130 मीटर एक्सप्रेस-वे के साथ-साथ ले जाने की है। अथॉरिटी अफसरों का कहना है कि इस प्रोजेक्ट पर करीब पांच हजार करोड़ रुपये खर्च होंगे। मेट्रो लाने वाली कंपनी को ही मेट्रो का किराया वसूलने का अधिकार दिया जाएगा।

This would be music to the ears for those who believed in Greater Noida Metro while others kept doubting on the news. The land prices around Boraki, the last metro station on Greater Noida metro has shot up since the announcement (apart from all areas including Noida Sec 7X/eway, thru where the route passes). The sauvy property investors can be seen roaming around in the nearby villages to strike the deal when they can get it.Specifically, the investors are eyeing the commercial development of the area when Boraki railway junction, logistic park and Dadri transport hub and Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor projects would see the light of the day. The stage is set-up for the area around Dadri and Boraki for which there was only lukewarm demand before metro and finalising of other misc projects. Stage is all-set for big run-up, especially around June 11 when 130m wide expressway would be rolled-out in the area. There could be ‘sone-pe-suhaga’ ‘when the Jewar airport too would be announced (because of Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, Jewar airport it is not a question of if but when). Greater Noida too gets ready for Metro link

In the New Year, Noida will begin work on the extension of the Metro line, which at present culminates at Sector-32. The work is expected to begin from the middle of the year and will take the Metro up to Greater Noida.

Announcing the project, CEO and chairman of Noida Authority Mohinder Singh said the process will start in the first week of February. After finalising the request for proposal, the request for qualification will be forwarded to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and other authorities, he added.

“In February, we will forward the request for qualification, after which we will start the tendering process. By June, we expect the project to be awarded to companies successful in the bidding process. By July, the construction of the Metro should start,” Singh said.

The Authority has already prepared a detailed project report. “Officials feel we have done the necessary groundwork to initiate the project. The facilities for the residents should be doled out as soon as possible,” said Singh.

In Phase-II, the Metro network will be extended from Noida City Centre till Boraki railway station in Greater Noida. There will be seven Metro station en route — Sector 49, Sector 50, Sector 52, Expressway, Pari Chowk, Alfa Commercial Belt and Knowledge Park-IV near Wipro company.

Officials believe the Metro extension, connecting Noida to Vaishali in Ghaziabad would also begin next year.

The Greater Noida metro work is set to start from April 11. Moreover, authorities have now started planning for extension of metro from Sec-32 Noida to Sec-62 Noida and further to Vaishali (so as to connect to metro from Anand Vihar).

The proposed Greater Noida metro would be merged with Boraki railway station (being developed as biggest in India) so that travellers could seamlessly get the long route trains. The Greater Noida metro is expected to be completed by the year 2013 at a cost of Rs 5000 crores. It is learnt that the UP CM has also instructed GNIDA officials to extend the metro upto Jewar airport.

G Noida set to welcome Metro

After Noida, it is the turn of Greater Noida to experience the comforts of the Metro. Efforts are on to extend the Metro rail service to Greater Noida. The Greater Noida line, work on which is likely to start from April next year, will be a major relief to residents in Noida. This route will have 22 stations, out of which 13 would come up in Noida itself, catering to residents in sector 39, 49, 50, 82 and 93. IL&FS, a non-banking financial firm, has made a presentation before officials of Noida Authority and Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority. The company has already submitted a detailed project report, putting the total cost at Rs 5,000 crore, to Noida Authority. The authorities have begun looking for private companies for execution of the plan. The Metro for Greater Noida will start from the last station in Noida (City Centre-sector 32) and move towards the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and touch Knowledge Park-4 via Pari Chowk and end at Badoki in Greater Noida. The new Metro line will be 23-km long and have 22 stations, running parallel to the expressway. After the Greater Noida project is over, the focus will shift to starting a line from City Centre station in Sector 32 to Sector 62, touching NH-24. The 6-km route will be via Sector 71 crossing and Sai Temple. The areas which will have the Metro connectivity are sectors 32, 34, 35, Hoshiarpur, sectors 51, 52, 71, Greater Noida Extension Marg, Sarfabad, sectors 60, 61, 62, 63 and NH 24. The Noida Authority board has already approved the extension of Metro route till Noida Sector 62. Noida Authority CEO Mohinder Singh said, “We are conducting a feasibility study. We will get cracking after the Greater Noida project takes shape.” “Noida Authority had a meeting with DMRC officials sometime ago. We had asked for their consent.
